Shilo Inn - a bit dated, but still a gem!

The Shilo Inn is a gem on the Oregon Coast with an amazing view! Hotel is a bit dated, but everything works and our room was extremely clean. There was even covered parking and an elevator to help transport luggage from the car on the rainy day we were there.

If you want a pool or breakfast, look elsewhere!

Don’t let them fool you like they did me! They DO NOT have an open pool and have no idea when it’s going to be open again. They DO NOT have a cafe or offer breakfast of any kind. The hotel itself is in poor condition and could use a good remodeling. However, the staff was kind, apologetic, and helpful. The rooms and linens were clean but one of my windows had a broken lock and the curtains wouldn’t shut all the way. I am grateful we were on the third floor so I didn’t have to worry about someone breaking or peeping in.

This place is very old! there were holes in the walls and our tiny 20 inch tv had green lines going through the bottom. we also found a chili pepper on the ground (we were in a pet friendly motel so our dog could’ve easily eaten that had I not seen it.)
