Our recent stay at the Palihotel San Francisco was everything we hoped for in a home away from home. The hotel’s unique charm and stylish decor gave it real character, and its location made exploring the city effortless. It was easy to grab a rideshare, and we were within walking distance of several popular spots for food and drinks. One standout feature was the vintage elevator—one of the oldest in the city—which added a nostalgic touch to our stay. Check-in was seamless, thanks to Rachel, who made us feel instantly welcome. The location was fantastic and the service was excellent. I didn’t take warm clothes with me, so I was very cold on my first night there. The next morning I requested a blanket and almost immediately they brought me a wonderful down comforter. I slept so good every night after that.

Adequate but Very Noisy

The hotel is clean and nicely decorated with friendly staff, however it is LOUD. You can hear every noise on the street and rooms are positioned with the bed right up to the wall facing the main road. We could also hear everything in the adjoining room, including the person staying in that room blasting music and singing at 6:30 am. It was as if he was in our room with us, the door provided no sound barrier. It is fine for a basic hotel, but ear plugs are a necessity, and even then you will likely hear noise.
