The history of the property and its design aesthetics were unique and beautiful. One area had a library, reading nooks, shuffle board, and checkers. Very walkable to T Mobile and the Power and Light District.

Front desk employees were very helpful and professional. Very nice hotel. One negative moment however; I went to the hotel restaurant for breakfast, the hostess was very nice and sat me right away. But, despite being the only customer in the place at the time, the waitress and manager, stood around talking about 5 feet from my table, for 6-7 minutes without even acknowledging my existence. So I left and had breakfast at a diner a few blocks away.

This is a lovely, well cared for historic property right in the heart of Kansas City, MO. I enjoyed my stay there for the most part but there is room for improvement. Although the hotel was clean and my room was kept beautifully, I was dismayed to have piles of dirty sheets in the hallway outside my room that stayed there a while. Hopefully this was a minor oversight and they'll take care of it quickly. Overall, the staff was delightful and it was a fun and convenient place to stay. I loved the historic charm.
