We only had an overnight stay and unfortunately it was raining in the evening when we arrived so we quickly explored the area in the morning before heading up to Mt Cook. Thr surrounding view was just beautiful. You can take a walk along the lake or just enjoy your time doing nothing. The jugzee was a big plus.
