This Motel is clean, organized, and has what you need in a room: TV, table and chair, Coffee maker, free parking, free Wifi, plenty of lighting, balcony, separate sink from bathroom, built-in hair dryer, built-in soap/shampoo dispensers, Microwave, mini-fridge, deadbolt and partial open door lock, HVAC unit. Elevator to the 3 floors. As the name says, it is a very good value Inn. Only positives/negatives is close to transporation, which is US-101 freeway, but also the local train comes through in the morning, and you get the warning bell gonging, so if you are not an early riser, this may wake you up.

Our stay was average, we did have a comfortable bed. As a business traveler I felt room was not that adaptable for work purposes, work desk had no useable outlets for my electronic equipment, lighting was not so good, the room was just average. I assume for the price, was okay. I would recommend upgrade to room to make more attractive to business travelers. People would pay the higher rate if needed if the amenities were available. Overall our stay was adequate.

Beds are stiff as a board. Friendly check in and clean. Room had a fridge and a balcony which I didn’t expect, but was nice. If beds were more comfy I’d stay again.

This is a decent place to stay. It’s a bit in need of repair but overall a nice stay. We rented it for the hot tub in-room, that was great! Nice helpful staff, clean and quiet.

The lady at the desk was friendly helpful efficient & interactive. The room was fine as always, and a short walk/short drive away from everything in Novato. I have stayed here a number of times in the past & will continue to do so. Also of interest, the hotel is a very short walk from the San Marin SMART Train station, which can create myriad travel possibilities.

A Very Pleasant Surprise

Honestly... I don't understand the "bad" reviews. This is actual a nice place ... kind of the "best kept secret". Sure ... it is dated ... but trying to be updated as they go. (When was the last time you were in a granite tiled shower.) A HEATED POOL" ... WOW ... good hot tub to sit in and go between the two. Rooms were clean / orderly. All in all ... a nice place (especially for the price in the area).

This is my third stay there. It’s quiet, clean and the only bad thing I can say is that I had to use my hotspot to watch the tv. The refrigerator wasn’t working properly either, but these things happen and I’m sure they will fix it. I’m sure I’ll stay there again just for the in-room jaccuzi.

I checked in on Friday, room very basic but clean, hallways and public areas dirty, elevator dirty - and when I was in the elevator the power went off trapping me in it for over an hour. Back from dinner and wifi and tvs not working at 9:30 pm. I checked out and made other arrangements for the weekend.

Good place to stay in Novato

We were early and were able to check in anyway. The staff was really great! Very nice and accommodating. The room was clean, and the bed was comfy. Quiet even though we were by the 101 and tracks, but i never heard a thing. We had 218, a room with the jetted tub. The room was big, and it had a nice balcony with a sliding door. Love that! The tub was huge! Love that too - I'm 6'4" and don't fit in most tubs. So if this is you too you might like this room. The fridge was pretty big too. We were in town for a thing, and some stuff, and the location was convenient. My only complaint was that the continental breakfast was basically non existent. There was a few muffins and some cereal. We skipped that, was hoping for more. Overall we liked this spot and would stay here again.
