Big but DIRTY
This place was nice because it was big enough for our family but it was DIRTYYYYY.. I wish I would have taken pictures. Dirt and hair on the bathroom floor, rugs especially on the stairs looked like they hadnt been vaccummed... and the FANS... oh my goodness the fans were disgusting!!!

Old and rundown, unclean, unsafe
Hotel is old and rundown, and our room was very unclean & unsafe. The facility allows pets and our room carpet and ottoman was covered in white dog hair, I don’t feel it had been vacuumed for a very long time, maybe several guests. On a few occasions, the kitchen staff was behind on having food ready when the breakfast time opened. We’d also paid extra & reserved a room with a fireplace and upon check-in were told they were all gone, they gave us free parking instead which gave us about 75% back of the extra cost we’d paid for the fireplace room.

Disappointed. Used to be good.
This is my third stay here. The first two were fantastic. I don't know what has happened in the year since I visited last but it has really gone downhill. The room had broken closet doors, no hangers, barely any pots/pans/dishes (we chose this place because we cook a lot). The door on the fridge was broken, the bathroom tub area was filfthy, the included breakfast was disappointing (broken equipment, no knives, ran out of things). We did complain and told that they had just brought in a new manager.

We were a bit concerned with the reviews of the hotel on another website but we’re pleasantly suprised. The hotel is a bit tired and needs a bit of TLC but the rooms were large and airy, great aircon and we got a free upgrade to a loft which would have slept a family of 6 Breakfast was very good but finished at 8.30 am! Area is good for site seeing as well

Roomy and Functional
The Sonesta ES is a pleasing community of studio style apartments. Furnishings were comfortable including the bed and pillows. It was great having an elevator to access the second story where we were located. As we spent 3 days in the unit we noticed some things that required maintenance and deeper cleaning. We discovered an issue and, when reported, felt heard by the staff who shared their concern and measures to address it. Breakfast was good but seating was limited so we took our breakfast to our room. I am not aware of ecological measures as far as recycling etc. All in all our stay was a good experience.
