Please stay at this wonderful chambre d’hote. Roxi is the perfect host and you can really tell that she has put her heart and soul into this lovely house. The bedroom we had was amazing and had everything you need including a huge jacuzzi!!! Perfect place to enjoy the town of Verteuil sur Charente. Fresh eggs included in great breakfast. We will be back!!!

Accueil sans contact via un coffre fort, bien pratique . Absence de savon et gel douche. Pas de bouteille ou carafe d'eau malgré la chaleur. Belle chambre et jardin agréable. A proximité du château. Chambre peu insonorisé : bruit de la chambre à l'étage et des évacuation d'eau.

We stayed here one night as we were travelling to Spain and had a fantastic experience. Due to massive delays on the Dover/Calais ferry, we were unable to arrive on the day we had planned and when we contacted the property, they were very accommodating and allowed us to move the booking by a day at short notice. On arrival, we met the friendly owner Ludovic and his daughter. The property is beautifully located next to a river and was spotlessly clean. The decoration is beautiful and we stayed in the very large Oslo room. There is a shared kitchen/dining room and in the morning a delicious breakfast had been set for us. There were games in the house which my children loved. In the morning we went for a walk through the beautiful village and enjoyed fantastic views of the castle, church and river. We were sorry we only stayed one night and would love to return.

Small guest house. Check in straight forward and good communication by host (in French but used translate). Beautiful quirky old converted barn in quiet location. Lovely french continental breakfast. Restaurant for dinner within walking distance. Very clean and well presented. Only down side for us (as an average sized couple) was the very small double bed which after being used to a king size bed was a bit cramped but others may find it ok. We travelled with our dog and paid additional €10 for her which is acceptable.
