Do not waste your money. The photos on the website have to be at least 10 years old if not older. The property is very worn and dated. The bathroom sink in the Secret Room has a ring of mold or mildew around the faucet. Nothing looks like it does on the website photos. Nothing cute and charming about the house. It’s more reminiscent of an old haunted house. And 20 mins before our arrival, we received a text stating they are in between seasons and not serving breakfast and the hot tub is out of service. I never saw a single staff person. Just a waste! Not worth the price they are charging. Avoid!

Walkable distance to downtown Hood River which was lovely. Good communication from hosts via text message and check in was an easy process with very clear instructions.
The carpets throughout the home were dirty and stained with rugs that appeared old and worn. Most furniture in the communal space were covered with various blankets and tablecloths that did not appear clean. Area outside of the garden suite was cluttered with home supplies and miscellaneous items that were covered in dust.

The Inn was just what we needed. Walking distance to town, amazing breakfast and very friendly staff. We were greeted by 2 adorable kittens on the front porch and soon after the Owner and his pup. Wish we lived closer so we could visit again soon.

We enjoyed our two night experience at Inn at the Gorge. Lots of character in this old house. The artwork was beautiful! The breakfasts were delicious. The location was perfect for exploring Hood River and local spots around this fun area of Oregon.

Experience was great! Hot tub was perfect for a cool November night and placed a good distance from the house to ensure separation. Will come back.

Beautiful inn, a bit confusing without anyone there to greet us but the instructions worked well.
Breakfast in my opinion is simply over thought simply offer scrambled eggs home fries and toast, a bagel with cream cheese this seems to be the same issue at most inns we have stayed at, when our breakfast was served they forgot to give us utensils to eat with oops.
We definitely would stay here again as it really is a great small business!!

This was our first time in Hood River, at the Inn at the Gorge was a wonderful place from which to explore the region. The full breakfasts were a lovely way to start the day, and we appreciated the vegetarian option and the chance to meet some of the other guests. Our stay in the Secret Room was comfortable and we enjoyed the amenities, including the comprehensive list of trail maps for the area and the fresh-baked cookies and sweet breads that miraculously appeared in the afternoon. This is gracious living in a beautiful setting, and we hope to return soon.

Breakfast was wonderful. Virginia was very professional and polite. The room that we were given was old, and not updated. We slept on a Murphy bed which was very uncomfortable. The bathroom was through the dining room. About 30 feet away. The place was rated 4 and 1/2 stars at trip advisor. We are still wondering how they got that rating.

This quaint little inn is tucked into the residential area of Hood River. It is close to the main shopping core and tasting rooms. Communicating with the staff was easy through text messaging. The only thing it could improve on us closer detain to housekeeping. The room was clean but details were missed, for example, broken pieces of soap left in the shower drain and a purple stained bath towel that obviously someone with dyed hair used.
We will be back again as the owner is super friendly and an excellent cook!
The location is great and the inn is inviting.

The hotel was quite nice, but although it was explained to me that my bathroom would be a short walk down the hall, it wasn't explained that the "hall" included the front entrance and the dining room and front lounge or that the room was surrounded by the main outdoor porch on 2 sides. Or the the bathroom would be open to all guests. A little awkward and lacked any privacy, plus it was noisy at night when other guests hung out on the porches.
