Las Hamacas was perfect for our first trip to Melaque! The location is hard to beat and the view from our room was breath-taking. We found our room to be clean, well-stocked, with a very well-stocked kitchen. I will say, as others have also noted, there is live music at the restaurant from 2 - 4pm Mon - Wed, at least the week we were there. The place is hopping and the band is great. But do know the sound is all-encompassing if you have a beach-facing room. The Las Hamacas staff were super-friendly, quick to respond and helpful in suggesting alternative ways to the airport, thank you staff!

We liked the location and that is was on the beach. We could walk to the town centre. It was convenient, safe, clean and friendly. We throughly enjoyed our stay.

It’s an older hotel but the room was very clean and well equipped in kitchen. Pool was too hot for swimming but the beach is right behind. Staff were excellent and accommodating. There is a restaurant right behind the building on the ocean, good food and you get a discount as a guest. Lots of restaurants, shops and bus within walking distance. We would stay again.

The hotel was clean both in the room when we arrived and in the common areas. The pool is fun and large enough for many groups to enjoy at once. The hotel’s location on the beach was very convenient as well as being close to the square. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, although I would have liked to see more options for people who don’t like seafood. To top it all off the receptionist spoke English which made checking in much smoother. Overall Las Hamacas was a lovely hotel, I would stay there again.

Excellent location, close to everything. Rooms are basic, but clean. Housekeeping is great. Music each afternoon in the beach restaurant. Sylvia at the front desk is a lovely person and speaks excellent English. Jorge, the boss, is very nice and accommodating. You can tell he treats his staff well because they all work hard to make things work smoothly. Already booked again for next year.

Cute little hotel on the main strip of Melaque and right on the beach. Lovely and helpful staff. The room was spotless. Lots of lovely sitting areas, a nice pool and a restaurant/bar. However, it was filled with too many drunk snowbirds (one even started at 8:30 in the morning). The noise really carried and it was difficult to sleep. Adding to that was the large family group who was in the room above us on the weekend and the all traffic noises from the road.
