"We stayed for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at Titicaca Origins Peru. It was a perfect blend of rustic and modern. Wilbur and Delia were wonderful hosts and provided us with the necessary amenities to make our stay comfortable while at the same time allowing us to enjoy a Uros experience. The room was very clean and the bed so comfortable. They also set up an excursion to Taquile Island. The continental breakfast was satisfying and the dinners were tasty Peruvian meals. I highly recommend this place! "
"It is just one block away from the center of the town. Breakfast is excellent. They offer shuttle to the airport and lake tours with a reasonable service fee.
"
"It has a very nice, welcoming and relaxing. The place is ver quiet, they have tour and laundry services. I liked the location by the plaza, lots of lively activity."
"We had a wonderful stay at Casa Andina. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was great, and we appreciated the attentive service. The breakfast was amazing, and the hotel and room were very clean. The location was perfect, and we loved the view of Lake Titikaka from our balcony."
"The staff were very helpful and friendly, even printed a document off for us last minute which we needed to travel. The rooms were spacious, clean and quiet "
"Magical! What a wonderful experience to have stayed with the Uros people and experience their life on their floating island. Leonardo was wonderful and had everything ready for us. We traveled with our 3 children and it was a highight of our Peru trip. Thank you so much for a beautiful rokm, great food and excellent company. Kathleen, Sean and the triplets"
"Very helpful and friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Rooms are nice and clean. Free bottles of water everyday. Location is great. Bring a good jacket because restaurants and bars are cold in Puno.
Would recommend this hotel."
"The staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel was within walking distance of many restaurants. The breakfast was good quality. I had hot water both days when I showered. There is no heat which is typical of hotels in Peru. The hotel did provide a really thick extra blanket."
"This place is like no other. The property is beautiful and idilic. The property is situated on Lake Titicaca and this lake is stunning. All meals, beverages and excursions were included. We enjoyed our time. Abel was one of the best guides we have encountered. We would return. "
"The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the main square. The family owners of this property are so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is made to order not the typical stale buffet. We were stuck in the city all day and they allowed us to sit in the lobby and wait. We shared a pizza with the owner and wonderful conversation. The amazing staff more than makes up for the lack of amenities. "
"Comfy beds and good restaurant with room service available. No free water or tea apart from at breakfast but they did pack us a breakfast box when we had an early start. "
"This hotel is older but reasonably updated, clean and convenient. It is located near lots of interesting points of interest and businesses. About 1 block from transportation to everything. About 3 blocks to historical sites, parks and churches.
The rooms and beds were comfortable enough and the showers hot. The restaurant in the hotel turned out to be one of the best in the area. "
"We had an amazing one night experience staying at Casita del Titicaca. The hospitality was outstanding and we very much enjoyed Edens company. He took us fishing, arranged for logistics to and from Puno and served us excellent meals for dinner, breakfast and lunch, food was both fresh and tasty and we had desserts as well.
The bathrooms are as comfortable as can be but we did have hot showers (low water pressure but thats a given). The beds were warm and comfortable and all three of us slept really well.
The decor was authentic and aesthetically pleasing. The room was super spacious and the outside deck area was beautiful with beds blankets as well as seating to watch the sunset. We loved eveeything about the stay!"
"Staff were very helpful when tour operator issues occurred. At the end of the day they went above and beyond to help us receive an evening meal due to late return I the hotel after the restaurant had closed."
"The common areas were freezing cold. They used outdoor propane heaters in the dining room which is very dangerous and ineffective.
The beef which I ordered medium was almost raw. The cook could be heard screaming in the kitchen which made me not want to bother sending it back.
They undercharged us and then called our next hotel to ask them to tell us we owed them money instead of reaching out to us. It was their error and of course we paid the balance due but they implied that we skipped out which was awkward. "
"This stay is on a floating island in Lake titicaca. As an experience it is amazing. However, be prepared that they only accept cash, the rooms are not heated, our stay on October 3rd 2024 was extremely cold. Nestor is a pleasant host, and gave us a tour of Uros island on our way back to shore.
Note that the showers have limited access to hot water, and the toilet is a dry toilet, also there is no WiFi and limited cellular signal.
Over all, the view and experience are amazing, but be prepared for an experience akin to camping, and be aware of the transportation limitations of being on a family run island in the lake. For those seeking adventure, this is great. For families seeking luxury, or even basic amenities, there may be better options."
"Hotel bien ubicado, con calentador, caja fuerte en el cuarto, heater un plus, desayuno basico poco personal en la cocina no habia nada de desayunar a las 6:30 no contaron la gente que se estaban quedando en el hotel, pero por lo demas todo bien."
