I highly recommend Residence Bassac. I do however recommend that if you partake in the alms giving ceremony to the Buddhist monks, that you find out the cost beforehand. The room was dirty, the bathroom was not working (no hot water, only cold, the dryer empty under the sink right under the floor), no key for the room (not working), lots of noise from the neighbours, the welcome was cold as ice, far from the center, well, we were happy to leave this place.

"The front desk at the hotel was rude and had a bad attitude and tried to make me work to contact Expedia customer service to get my funds out of Expedia, even though I paid in full via Hotels.com. The hotel itself was in a quiet location and the rooms were well kept and cleaned. If you expect good hotel service, I would recommend other hotels."

Reasonably quiet stay. The room was clean and had good facilities (fridge and hot water) for the money. A drying rail in the bathroom was a nice touch. The room was a little short on power sockets (especially when using a converter) and the to in our first room didn’t work and the a/c was stuck on a 45 minute cut off cycle.
The second room was much better but on a slightly lower floor so you got a little road noise.
I found the bed uncomfortable/too hard- but it didn’t seem to bother my husband"
