"Coronado Inn is one of the nicest stays in the area. The staff members are professional, welcoming and very patient. While their English is limited, and my Spanish nonexistent, we were able to communicate and understand each other. The rooms and towels were cleaned and refreshed daily. They also left folded "towel creatures" on the bed which provided a nice, soft touch. Also, the restaurant on the premises provides some delicious, upscale meals. I will be staying here when I return. Let me just add, on our last day, when hubby and I didn't return as we had previously done six nights in a row, the staff called my cell phone to check on our well-being. I've NEVER had that happen before. I was appreciative and impressed by their thoughtfulness. Thank you! "

"The hotel is beautiful and the staff is amazing. We had a lovely stay in a 2 room suite next to the grand salon. We had access to our own kitchen and living space. The pool was perfect for our 2 daughters. The food was outstanding. We had a lovely stay and highly recommend. "

"The Golden Frog Inn was a huge hit for my family. They have amazing rooms, a wonderful happy hour, and $$$$ views of the mountain. They were able to accommodate us a day earlier than expected and were always extremely responsive when reach out via whats app. No one in my party wanted to leave. It’s a must stay! "

"Cute little hotel In the heart of San Carlos. The rooftop lounge was a real treat. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I had breakfast delivered to my door each morning. The AC worked great and the beach was only a 10 minute walk away for a nice swim or some surfing. Would stay here again for the price. "

"We really enjoyed staying at Casa Swell. It has a wonderful vibe in a semi-rustic setting. There are a limited number of rooms around a lovely pool. Beside the pool is an ample shared area, no walls but under a roof, including a large shared kitchen. They do not offer meals except for breakfast but each room is assigned space in a fridge/freezer and a cupboard in the kitchen. It is well-equipped for cooking. Everyone from "J" (the owner) and his family to other guests were friendly. He came to pick us up from the center of Coronado rather than have us bother with a taxi. Coronado is a small town and Casa Swell was able to hook us up with good information on places to eat, realtors to use, and other tricks of life there. We liked it so much that when we decided to reduce our time elsewhere to focus on Coronado, I just called J and said, "Block a room!" It is not elegant or fancy, but if you want a small oasis to relax amid "friends", Casa Swell is an excellent option. "

"This place is rustic but the host is so welcoming and it's well located a few minutes from the start of a popular hike. You can use bikes for free to get into the town centre. Communal kitchen is a bit cluttered but handy and has everything you need. Musica the Golden Retriever might just be the best dog in the world!"
