"The restaurant at the first floor was so delicious. Both the free breakfast buffet and the paid for dinner were fulfilling! The staff was very helpful and friendly, hailing me a taxi with an English speaking driver. We had a wonderful conversation!
The staff also properly stored my luggage while I went to the museums within the area."

"Very traditional Japanese hotel with awesome hospitality.
The room is clean and meals are very delicious. Although a little bit far away, but worthy to come for finding inner peace."

"I just did a short stop in Kitakami on my way further north and selected this hotel. It's a typical APA hotel, but ok for just have a place to sleep and keep the luggage. The location felt a bit off, but I could walk from the station with my luggage. The breakfast was probably one of the "least good" among the 6 hotels I stayed at this trip. You got a prepared tray with a few things and maybe there were a few things you could add on your own if I remember correctly. But I didn't like this way of...

"Located in a quiet area, convenient stores within walking distance, large supermarkets and restaurants within a few kilometers. Nice place to stay. Nice buffet breakfast."

"It’s not very accessible if you are not driving. It’s like a single hotel beside a hospital. Though there were restaurants and supermarkets with 10-15 minutes walk.
The plus point is the public bath within the hotel. Room not very spacious.
Overall is an acceptable stay."

"All of the staff were extremely kind and professional, rooms were clean. Only issue is the air conditioner didn't get very cold, but otherwise, a great stay."

"Older hotel with very small rooms. The staff was a mix with some pleasant and some others unhelpful (when asked to call taxi, one of them refused to help us and even stopped another staff who was willing to help us)."
"Excellent Staff. I would like to say thank you very much again to the gentlemen on duty on 12th July. I carelessly parked at a Monthly parking space and he helped me to call the car park company and solve the possible penalty problem. I forget to ask his name, but if Hotel Royal Morioka can see this comment, please help me to say thank you to him and I am very happy to tell all my friends to stay at this hotel!"
"Super convenient for first time visitors. Right across from Morioka station with lots of dining options and shopping. Catching the dendenmushi loop bus from the station made seeing the main sites comfortable when the weather was too hot to walk."
"Lovely hotel, excellent staff, great dinner and breakfast. I love the onsen experience. We stayed multiple nights so we can try all the baths. There is a walking path along the lake. We took the hotel shuttle bus to Morioka to explore and took the local bus back. Very convenient and easy to navigate. "
"The location was excellent. Can get to the JR train station in very short time. Besides, the room was well kept, clean and in good condition. Very satisfied experience. "
"Great experience! Friendly and helpful staff. And absolutely loved the pillows! Omg the pillows were heavenly! Definitely will stay again! Thank you! "

"Super nice getaway. There is not much around but this hotel is pretty much an all inclusive. They feed you breakfast and dinner buffet with late night snack as well. The food was great and overall was highly impressed with the value. Be careful planning your transportation too and from though as it is very limited. "
"Very convenient to the train station and courtesy bus to the ski resort.
Basic clean tidy nice staff good breakfast nothing flashy about the Comfort inn but it feels friendly and relaxed I liked staying there."
"Quite a nice stay at Guesthouse Fuga. The lady owner is lovely and the included breakfast was good too. Twin room with air con quite spacious and there is a desk and chair, a couple of coathangers. Just me but if you had 2 people sharing- 1 person gets a bed, the other person gets a fold out bed. I slept fine and area very quiet.
A parking spot at the front door is excellent. All rooms are upstairs so you need to be able to walk up about 15 stairs. 1 toilet and 1 washbasin upstairs but I didn't have to wait.
The reason I gave it 4 stars is the shower has to be accessed by going outside the front door into a shed. Ok in mild weather as now but would not good in the winter. Towels have to be hired for 200y as at hostels. As always if you get a noisy person, they can be heard in other rooms so I had to ask a lady to be quiet at 630am.
Easy walk to samurai street and restaurants. Take a torch if you go out at night as street lighting not very good."
