"Excellent place to stay. 5 minutes from the train station. Great breakfast, with western and Japanese alternatives. The room was great and bigger than others in big cities. Staff was helpful and friendly. If you are doing the Kumano Kodo trail, is convenient. "

"I didn’t really like having to leave my shoes at the front and use public slippers, the bathroom was useful but a bit cramped and the cooler/heater was hard to get the right temperature in the room. But I really liked the hot tub onsen and the staff were mostly friendly. "

"We stayed for two nights and everything was perfect. The room was clean, and the wood decor was perfect. Dinner and breakfast for both days were different, it was both very nice food!! "

"I wasn’t expecting multi-course dinners that included sashimi and other top quality ingredients. It was incredible, delicious and filling. Great breakfast buffet too. I was delighted with our stay, my boyfriend wasn’t happy about having to go to the onsen to shower, but he got into the spirit and enjoyed himself."

"If there is 100 scores for the review, I would like to give this hotel. Starbucks is in the public library where is next to the hotel. Bus terminal and train station are in front of the hotel, so convenient to go to everywhere. I will stay again when I go to Wakayama, Japan. "

"De l’accueil au départ, j’ai pu rencontré un gérant et un personnel très respectueux.
La chambre était très propre, simple. Suffisant pour le voyageur solo que je suis.
Le lit un peu trop dur à mon goût, et un second oreiller n’aurait pas été de refus.
Le gérant m’a conduit à la gare le matin de mon départ.
Merci 🙏"

"We stayed at Tsubaki House en route to Kamikatsu. It was a nice change from hotel rooms. An entire house with nice water view exactly as per the photos. The property is very private and accessed by a narrow road. Staff that handled check in and check out super friendly and proactive. They were very helpful. Take some food for BBQ. There are some places to eat in driving distance. Great place to stay for a family or small group."

"Clean and at a good location with eateries nearby. Walking distance to Anan Station. "

"Tiny stuffy room. No air condition control. Only heat can be turn on or off. Can’t just do ventilation. As a result, the room so stuffy and worse in such a tiny room. Don’t stay here. The town is dead quiet and you’ll have to drive 30mins+ for restaurants and malls. So simply stay in Tokushima for similar price. The staff are friendly and nice. It’s just sad that their rooms are not to the standard. The so called twin room with two beds and actually originally for one bed only. Too...

"Just Infront of the hotel there is a bus stop and a shopping mall opposite. The hotel are new and overall are great .And not very far from the station and Wakayama Castle .Had a great stay "
"The hotel is big and the room is big too for our family. The service is really good and they offer free drinks in the lobby. The hotel is old but comfortable. We need to wear our slippers in the hallway because it is a Japanese hotel. My kids enjoyed their comic room even if they don't read Japanese. "
"One of my best ever hotel experiences. Great staff all around. Large, clean room & bathroom. Excellent buffet breakfast. Plentiful amenities (in room coffee & tea, bathroom necessities, etc.) along with complimentary jelly snacks & free ice pops in the public bath area. Great (free) washing machine & inexpensive dryer. Would definitely stay here again."
"Budget friendly hotel near the train station.
Good location if you need to take the ferry to Tokushima in the morning.
Nothing special about the room but the breakfast was enjoyable. "
"Very friendly staff at check in. Walkable from Wakayamashi station. The area is a fun little section of the city with a lot of character. Plenty of hole in the wall eateries and small bars. I found some live music clubs to check out right around the corner. There are a few shopping streets to walk that aren’t focused on tourism. Good local feel if you want to escape the tourist or business vibe. "
"Fantastic immersion in Japanese culture with a gorgeous view of the Sea of Japan and the fishing village. Top rate Onsen. Used the shuttle but we were not provided with the pick up location which was very difficult to find. Make sure you book it as it only leaves once a day. The room had no hot water, even though we were informed to run the tap. The heater was in need of cleaning. Very isolated location with no access to other food options. Be prepared for this."
"Very close to the train station. And the department stores and restaurants just above the station.
My room has an private washrooms, but no fridge. It's a typical old style Japanese businessman hotel where most rooms has no private lavatory and fridge. And one needs to use the shared one on the hallway. And there's a public bath."
"The staff were very accomadating and friendly and went out of there way to give me a good experience even tho they couldnt speak english. unfortunately this place is right next to an adult entertainment building so i wouldnt recommend this location to families or people who are skiddish of such things otherwise this a great place to stay at on a budget."
"I had a great stay; however, the decor leaves much to be desired. I have stayed at hostels with better decor. The room looked very tired and outdated. The tiles in the bathroom need new grout. The bedspread had a hole in it as if a previous guest had burnt it. "
