Second trip to Ravenna. Mosaics spectacular! Easy to walk around. The three restaurants I visited were excellent and there were multiple other choices. More to explore than I saw. Train connection in Bologna only difficulty. Worth visiting!

The property is delightful inside and out. Extremely clean. We loved being able to sit in the garden, joined by the pet rabbit. Ravenna is stunning. The mosaics are incredible and the town is a delight to stroll around.

Great Historical sites and all on one very good value Admission Ticket. All Signs on exhibits and on the buildings of interest in the streets were in English. Better than any Italian city we visited in the North

Easy city to walk around, all sights within walking distance. If you are coming from cruise ship by transfer, leave plenty time for forward transfer from station as have to take small lift from bus station to gain access with luggage, can take ages.
"Right from the beginning, staff by the name of Mayte was very warm and welcoming.whenever we asked for something extra she did it with a smiling face..
Its an idle stay if you are in transit like taking a cruise. The hotel had an excellent breakfast. However one should be aware that they don't have a restaurant. So for lunch and dinner you can go out within 15 minutes walking distance.
I highly recommend this place to stay."
"The staff and facilities were great. The local all you can eat of local specialties was exceptional. Breakfast too! The only matter that was subpar were the grungy gray towels. Looks like they came from the local car wash "
"The decor was a little dated but everything else was great. Excellent walking distance to the UNESCO sites. Our tour was easy to arrange. Restaurants were easy access and the food was great. The outdoor space was very inviting in the square. Lots of activity and friendly staff. Maybe not a 5 star hotel but it more than met our needs. "
"Room floor cleaned each day. A detailed clean of other areas needs attention. Shower doors did not easily close as the sliding mechanism was faulty. Three styles of breakfast, with substantial portions. An occasional smell of drains from the bathroom. Staff very helpful."
"The room was small but very clean. Loved that the balcony had a drying rack with clothes pins to hang wet bathing suits. The view was beautiful from 5th floor.
The elevator was very narrow and triggered my claustophobia so i opted for the stairs. The staff was amazing. They were super helpful and professional. The food was ok, but some of the portions were small (but beautifully presented). The only thing we didnt like is this strange rule they had about the pool. You arent allowed in the pool unless you wear a swim cap (which they offer to sell to you). They say they do this for hygiene as they dont want hair in the pool. We thought this was ridiculous and didnt go to the pool. Lots of other guests seem to feel the same as the pool often had only a handful of swimmers in it during our stay. So if you agree to wear the swim cap you will have the pool mostly to yourself. Otherwise just enjoy the beach as we did. My kids enjoyed playing paddle ball and bike riding. There is a restaurant on the beach with food and drinks reasonably priced. "
"Hotel was more than we expected. The staff was super friendly, the hotel was right in the middle of the beach area and the included breakfast was awesome! There are a ton of restaurants and grocery stores in the neighborhood. The beach is right across the street! And as my kids can attest to, the best waves in Ravenna are right in front of the hotel. The hotel is popular so all the taxi services know right where you are when you call. We easily transferred between the train station and the cruise port."
"Lovely hotel near the beach a few steps away .Private beach sunbeds quite expensive with 20% of still 30 euros a day for 2 beds which you can book for the whole week if you want
Rooms furnished well with all you need kept exceptionally clean by the cleaners
A bit noisey in the morning as dustcarts come quite early we choose a side room in future i will go direct to the hotel re rooms .
Reception staff excellent and the boss couldn't have been more helpful with all my questions she dealt with everything i asked about as my first time to the area
Long promenade that you could walk into Cervia about 20mins or the hotel rented cycles with restaurents and bars on the beach along the way .
Easy to find your way around as streets tended to be grids so easy to find your way to the restaurents in the area which were reasonable priced and we didint have a bad meal all week superb
WE had bed and breakfast and if you cant find something you like to eat then must be beyond fussy as catered for everyone nothing to much trouble
Will definately go there again
Thank you for a lovely hotel "
"This was perfect for us two couples to stay before we left on our cruise. The lady at the front desk was AWESOME. She could speak English and it was central to everything. I would definitely stay here again. Be aware that the building is very old with a very small elevator. We had to do one person and large luggage at a time. HA But it added to the charm. "
"Hotel Gabbiano provided a family friendly experience for our family. Attentive staff and great service made our time in Rimini special. Would absolutely book with them again. "
"Lovely, welcoming hotel in Lugo. My only complaint is that I did not get the apartment room which I paid for in advance. No explanation, refund or apology given. "
"No issues with the hotel but the town was pretty much shut down for the season so there weren't many restaurants open. The beach & the Adriatic Sea were fabulous & the weather still warm & sunny. "
