"Probably the most beautiful, most tastefully designed hotel I've ever stayed at. It was an unexpected gem, truly lovely hotel, nice staff, a few steps away from the adventure park. Nice breakfast choices, comfortable, beautiful, clean room."

"Hotel was good, terrible nights sleep being kept awake by other people at the hotel who decided to have conversations or talk on mobile phone between 11.30 and 3.30am, then to top it off no water when I needed a shower at 6.30am. Not the best experience."

"Stayed for a family’s anniversary, such a lovely place to stay, had fresh scones and cakes with butter and milk for us on arrival and all the things we needed for a cup of tea or coffee. Well equipped with toiletries and lovely and warm. "

"Our stay was an absolute dream! Lorna and Peter provided a one of a kind experience. Upon arrival we were giving a tour of the farm and grounds, then a walk through our cottage, which was clean, well maintained and full of activities. Lorna then invited us to check out the afternoon milking, then meet and PET the cows and then young calfs who were curious enough to walk over. Then we met the farm horse Drift, who couldn't have been friendlier. The two dogs are adorably cute and the chickens are...

"We had an amazing experience at the Newpark Hotel in Kilkenny! The hotel itself is beautiful and well-maintained, but what really sets it apart is how perfect it is for families. There’s Jurassic Newpark adventure park attached with a variety of animals to visit, which our kids absolutely loved. The playground and large inflatable were huge hits and gave us plenty of time to relax while the kids were entertained for hours.

Pembroke Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"This hotel was outstanding in every aspect! We hated to leave. We had castle view. Free water and alcohol in fridge. Great coffee in the room. This hotel was in the heart of the town. We received private parking in the back."
"Avalon House is top notch! It felt like a cozy inn. It was very clean, had excellent staff/service, and included free and easy onsite parking. Breakfast was excellent, as was the pub/bar area. We would definitely recommend and would stay again."
"The location is fantastic. Very close to all the bars and nightlife but not in the noise of it. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was huge, (could have included beans though)..
Only downside was the shower curtain. It just stuck to you when using the shower making it uncomfortable. "
"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Midland Park Hotel. Staff were very helpful, welcoming and polite. Fantastic breakfast and we were very impressed with the comfortable accommodation. "
"The hotel is very nice, the breakfast is quite good and the rooms are comfortable. It’s a good place to stop for a night close to the Rock of Cashel. The hotel facilities were nice but you’ll need to drive to get anywhere else. All in all I’d highly recommend."
"This place was beyond our expectations, the reception desk was so friendly and accommodating. The restaurants had excellent food and service. The hotel rooms were gorgeous. The bed was so comfortable. The rooms dont have air conditioning but they were still comfortable. The gardens on the property are beautoful! "

The hotel staff were warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere was relaxed yet elegant. Everything from the rooms to the dining areas felt family-friendly without sacrificing comfort or style. This is truly one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at in Ireland for traveling with children — a perfect mix of luxury and fun!"
"We were visiting Kilkenny and chose Kate’s Rest to stay at. The owner was so kind and took the time to chat and help us with anything we needed, it was a very personable experience. We stayed in a beautiful apartment (we had one double and two twin beds) what came with a kitchen and lovely open shower. The views are unbelievable and it was a great location. We would highly recommend a stay at Kate’s Rest. "
"We stayed at Rafter's for our first night in Ireland, and it was a great start to the trip. The location was perfect, only about a five minute walk to Kilkenny Castle. Gerry was an awesome host, he made us feel so welcome and even invited my mother-in-law behind the bar to make an Irish coffee to compete with his. After dinner, we had a drink at the pub and there was live music; it only played until 9:30, so it didn't keep us from sleeping! The breakfast was included and there were many options, all amazing and made fresh. Would recommend to anyone looking for a more authentic Kilkenny experience."

Lorna then invited us to check out the afternoon milking, then meet and PET the cows and then young calfs who were curious enough to walk over. Then we met the farm horse Drift, who couldn't have been friendlier. The two dogs are adorably cute and the chickens are always wandering about. The landscaping and attention to detail is so impressive. The garden is professional grade of course. We only wish we had stayed TWO NIGHTS instead of one. Don't make our mistake. The morning arrived with fresh scones, massive eggs from the hens, and cold milk from the cows. Just magical!!"
"We had a lovely one night stay recently for a wedding we were attending in the rivercourt hotel, it was amazing value for money. The man dealing with us on check in was so so kind and chatty, we had arranged early check in prior to our stay and this was absolutely no problem which was great. The rooms were spacious and the beds were so comfortable. Such a great stay we will definitely be back again. Denise & James. "
