" My family and I stayed at Villa Stone in Čatrnja, Rakovica for one night while visiting Plitvice National Park, and I honestly wish we could’ve stayed longer. From the moment we arrived—late in the evening and in the rain—we were welcomed with genuine warmth by Mate, the host. Mate went above and beyond. Not only did he help us get settled in after our long travel day, but he also cooked us a full homemade dinner, which was a truly generous and memorable gesture. His kindness made us feel less like hotel guests and more like family. The rooms were spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. It felt like a true countryside retreat. The setting is peaceful and picturesque, with cows and sheep nearby, which kept our children completely entertained. If you're heading to Plitvice, do yourself a favor and stay here. Between the hospitality, the comfort, and the charm of the location, Villa Stone is easily one of the best places we've stayed on our trip. We cannot recommend it highly enough."

This is a family-run place, and the warmth and care they put into everything really made us feel at home. The service was excellent, and everyone we met was kind, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. The location is perfect—just about 6 minutes from Plitvice Lakes National Park, which made it super convenient for our visit. We had both breakfast and dinner at the guesthouse, and every meal was delicious and clearly homemade with care. One of the nicest touches was that they prepared sandwiches for us to take along on our hike in the park—such a thoughtful gesture that really stood out. We highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Plitvice. It’s peaceful, comfortable, and run by a truly lovely family who goes above and beyond to make your stay special."

"Etno Garden Exclusive is a perfect location for anyone that is planning a trip to Plitvice Lakes National Park. The room was spacious and already set up with full bedding for my kids. allowing everyone to feel right at home. The room was very clean and up to date. The area around the property is very peaceful and we spent time reading out in the garden, enjoying the view. The food in the restaurant wasn't the best, but the staff was friendly and kind. I would return if I ever have a trip to Plitvice again."

"It's my second time staying here A few notes to improve The path walking to the old town needs some serious lightning at night. I understand it's not part of the property but the hotel should work with the city to put some lighting at night. It can get very sketchy coming back at night. If I'm ordering food in the outside area, don't make the customer go inside to pay, I'm paying a premium for this service. It's called dine in for a reason. The jacuzzi wasn't warm Everything else was great, breakfast was amazing, the pool and the room was spacious. "

"Tesla’s accommodations were absolutely stunning—set on a picturesque hillside with charming, clean, and beautifully decorated spaces. The rooms were lovely: spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed. The common areas where breakfast, lunch, and drinks were served were equally inviting, with cozy decor and great outdoor seating perfect for relaxing, playing games, or simply enjoying the view. The spa was a highlight, featuring a hot tub, sauna, and large garage doors that opened to breathtaking scenery. The owners, Visnja and Davorin, were truly wonderful—some of the kindest and most welcoming hosts we’ve ever met. Visnja’s cooking was phenomenal; we had both dinner and breakfast there and were blown away by the quality, service, and warmth they provided. I highly recommend staying here—especially if you’re visiting Plitvice National Park. It’s a beautiful, unforgettable day trip, and this accommodation makes the perfect home base."

"A tremendous place stay just on outskirts of town centre and 200 metres from the sea/ harbour. Lovely room with two balconies. Very helpful staff with great local knowledge; Jakop recommended three fantastic restaurants. But the best aspect was the superb breakfasts, just amazing with lovely home cooked cakes etc. Best we have experienced anywhere in Europe . Very good value for money."

The hosts were helpful and the breakfast was a nice option. Several restaurants are within walking distances and it's less than a five-minute drive to the park's entrance #2. "
