"Beautiful position overlooking the seafront"

"I love the concept of sustainability here and it has been implemented extremely well, whilst maintaining high standards. The tea/coffee/hot chocolate area on each floor rather than in rooms gave more variety, better quality and the refillable water bottle in the room to use for the filtered water at the refreshment station was excellent. The bed was so comfy and the room was excrptionally bright, airy and clean. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming!"

"We really enjoyed our one night stay. We had a twin room overlooking the atrium, which we booked using Tesco Clubcard vouchers. Our room was spacious and clean, and we enjoyed making use of the gym and spa facilities, which were included. "

"Stayed with a friend via work. We had room 211. A twin. Arrived pretty much on 1500 at check in time. Staff were flat out and we were asked to wait 15 mins for our room to be ready. Not a problem. Wed have waited. But what was amazing was the offer of a drink whilst we waited. After travelling 4 hours, this was gratefully received. All staff we came across were superb, humorous and very friendly. The room Was spacious, clean and tidy. Tv a little small if you’re going to be in the room but we weren’t fussed by this as we were heading out for work drinks and food. Shower was amazing powerful and hot. Nice view from the Maggie bay window too. Bar was a good area with TVs if you wanted them. Good selection of drinks. Hotel very convenient for town and the sea front. We’ll be returning for sure. "Arrived and greeted by the most incredibly kind staff. They really couldnt have given us any more to make us feel welcome. Want to give a huge thanks to Robin on reception. My husband has a neck injury and the staff even offered to get pain medications from the local Pharmacist for us. The food in 1881 resturant within the grand hotel was delicious and served by Felix. What a kind gentleman he was also. Even making my young boy happy by giving him free mocktails! Both inside and outsoor pools area great addition to our stay, the breakfast is tasty and always left each morning with full bellies. We will definitely be coming back. We were so sad to leave today. Thank you all for a wonderful stay "

Love the views of Torbay and the internal architecture and furnishings of the hotel. It was a shame that the outdoor pool was closed but enjoyed the indoor pool / spa facilities."

"Visited for a short holiday and to visit family. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Room was fine. We usually stayed in premier inn at Exmouth and tried this hotel for a change. Not much difference except we had a balcony, staff were nicer and more helpful and was cheaper to stay and park. Would definitely stay again. The hotel is pet friendly so there were some people staying with their dogs. We didn’t mind."

"Check in was quick and easy. Room was sooooo hot due to all glass fronted room which had been in direct sunlight all day with the curtains open. Asked for another room which was provided without fuss. 5 min walk (max) to beach & bars, harbour & marina about 10 mins away."

"Really lovely hotel with great views. Breakfast a real treat. Rooms are a very generous size and a sea view is beautiful. Don’t like the policy of authorising £150 on your bank card on check in. Not released for 5 to 10 days is not acceptable."

"Very good location. All reception and bar staff really helpful. Room changed instantly when I discovered A Con not working. Bar staff went above and beyond to be helpful. Room v good comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. My second visit at this hotel will use it again."
