"Convenient, quiet location for a pre-cruise overnight stay. Transportation was readily avaliable and the front desk staff were very helpful to arrange. Had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Breakfast was included in my room selection and it was delicious and plentiful. You cannot go wrong by including it. We enjoyed our stay in Portsmouth!"

"Clean & Tidy hotel if slightly old fashioned decor - think conference hotel built in the 70’s / 80’s… but this is where the criticism starts and stops. Service = amazing Cleanliness = Top Notch Staff = attentive and super friendly Yes it is a little old fashioned and the decor could do with updating (for the love of God, get rid of some of the kitsch furniture and mismatched objet D’art!) but this place oozes charm and the service and people make it a trip worth making. I’d stay again and recommend you do too! "

"Great staff, great location. We stayed here to attend the Goodwood races. We were looked after from start to finish with a friendly manner and great enthusiasm. The facilities were very good and the restaurant offered good food at a reasonable price."

"We love Four Seasons Hampshire so much! This was our 4th stay and it was as excellent as ever. This is a five star hotel so be prepared for five star prices, but the staff and service make it all worth it. We’ll be back next summer and are already looking forward to it Two nits: First, they used to have an art sculpture on the front lawn that has been sold to a guest. I was sorry to hear this, but really think the front lawn needs another piece. Hoping we’ll see one when we visit again. Second, we had prepaid for the room and I was a little surprised to see a -25 pound service charge added per day. I don’t begrudge the staff being recognized and compensated, but this seemed a little sneaky. These are both minor issues and we will be back, but I wanted to point them out."

"Very welcoming Michael on reception was very friendly and knowledgeable and CJ was very helpful as we were on a motorcycle and had 2 panniers and a top box to take upstairs to our room CJ kindly offered to take the 2 panniers to our room and that is now a rarity now a days for any hotel so good on ya"

"The room we were initially allocated was not suitable with no view and was extremely hot. However Debbie on reception upgraded us to a much better room at a reduced charge"

"Second visit and the hotel coverall was very good. However, the weather was very warm and so was the room with no air conditioning. Unfortunately the windows could only be partly opened due to security cables. Only a duvet was provided but far too warm for use. A sheet would have been good but not provided. A fan was provided but not that useful. So overall sleep difficult. "
