"Our usual overnight stop was not available and this was he nearest alternative with a reasonable rating. However, I did not read the reviews till just before we travelled and was a little concerned at what we might find. Other than the unusual check-in, everything was fine and the room was clean, spacious and comfortable. We had been asked to contact the property 24 hours in advance but, despite trying, this proved impossible"

"I booked an accessible twin room at Raven's Cliff, Motherwell for the weekend. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the pillows were great to sleep on, and the accessible toilet / shower was large and easy to use. The breakfast and dinner served in the pub / restaurant were delicious and the price was reasonable. In summary, I had a lovely weekend stay at Raven's Cliff in Motherwell."

"Check in open between 4.30 - 8.00pm - I called in early to ask for a later check in - was shown my room, given front door key to let myself in. Very accommodating. Great breakfast choices too. This was a great last minute booking - a wee gem of a place. "

We were especially thankful for Kris and Reese's service in the restaurant. They both gave excellent service and Kris went above and beyond to ensure we made a rather too-close-for-comfort train departure. Also, the food was good and the espresso was especially notable. "

" Hotel is in a good location. Our basement room was disappointing in that the bathroom door didn't close properly and the soap dispenser fell off the wall in the shower when used. I didn't like that the shower head was imbedded high on the wall and no way to manouvre it.
Our dirty coffee cups were not replaced nor the coffee / milk replenished. "

Check in was slow as the member of staff ignored us and spent her time talking in a foreign language to 2 guests she was checking in which took her well over 5 mins! Eventually another member of staff appeared and dealt with us. She was very friendly and helpful. We had an excellent stay in a lovely room and breakfast was amazing! Will definitely book this hotel again. "
