"Friendly, welcoming staff on arrival. Great room with good views. Ate in the restaurant, not a fancy menu but good food. Not far from village, comfy night and incredible breakfast. Would recommend to anyone. "
"Room came with hot tub & balcony which was a great experience with good views of the golf course, beach and lighthouse. Standard room and shower room - was like staying in someones spare bedroom rather than a hotel. Good experience!"
"Absolutely the best value in Elgin..
Delicious breakfast, spac’ous rooms, fast Internet, courteous staff, central location and a parking spot for your car. What else can you look for?
Oh I forgot| the selection at the bar is overwhelming!"
"The place was very friendly the receptionist saw that my partner was disabled and gave us room one instead of room 19 so grateful for that will stay there again when attending Refuel next year if my partner is with me"
"2-night stay at the Laichmoray.
Double room 27 at ground floor rear of building. Quiet, good workspace with sockets.
Bath/Shower & plenty of towels.
Suited me perfectly...."
"We absolutely loved our stay at Bankhouse. Room was clean, comfortable, and nicely finished. Breakfast exceeded expectations with fresh eggs, freshly squeezed orange juice, good coffee, etc. Located in charming town. "
"We stayed just one night, but wish we had time to stay longer. Check in was a breeze and the staff were lovely! They were super friendly and welcoming. We received a great recommendation for a dinner place from them. We also enjoyed the decor and the feel of the hotel. It is definitely unique and beautiful. Also, breakfast was FANTASTIC! We would love to stay here again. "
"The pod was beautiful and very clean. Host Tracy was excellent and very responsive.
Everything was great. The unit is however small but it is something we already know during booking. Bed was also small for 2 large adults. Otherwise fantastic!"
"One night stopover. Everything about this place was lovely from the friendly welcome to the well equipped and comfortable room to the good quality food. The only minor gripe I had was that the Wi-Fi wasn’t great, other than that a delightful place to stay.
"
"Wonderful hosts (although we did not have the benefit of meeting Sarah); Colin was very attentive. Beautiful facility and grounds!
We were in the Macallan Room and would have liked to have had a fan to cool the room down somewhat. "
"We had a fantastic stay at Eight Acres Hotel and were thoroughly impressed. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home.
Our room had been recently refurbished, and it was fresh and comfortable with modern touches like faux leather headboards a mirror frame. There were plenty of sockets, which was really convenient for charging devices, although none had USB ports, so remember your plugs. We also enjoyed the tea, coffee, and hot chocolate facilities and especially the shortbread biscuits.
The shower was powerful and hot, perfect for a refreshing start to the day. Breakfast was another highlight, with a delicious full Scottish breakfast featuring black pudding and tattie scone.
There is currently no catering facilities, (or pool/gym/spa), at the hotel other than breakfast, but there’s a bus stop just outside the hotel and it took us 5 mins into the centre of Elgin. We didn’t want to drive as we wanted a drink with our meal.
Overall, our experience was great. With good hospitality, comfortable rooms, and a decent breakfast."
"Easy to get into the apartment and the pull out bed was comfortable. The bedroom bed was not as comfortable. Well stocked and organized, but noisy complex In a rundown part of the city."
"Great situation for the shops just a 5/10 minute walk away. Parking at the hotel is good. Rooms spacious and comfortable and clean the only thing that is a let down is the bathroom it’s a bit outdated found the shower slippy and no where to put your shower gel and shampoo. Breakfast is very good with plenty of choice and full cooked breakfast is very good and hot. Didn’t have dinner was not keen on the menu but it might be good for others but not me. Staff are very nice and friendly. Very welcoming. "
