Notable for its gardens, Helensburgh features attractions such as Kilcreggan Ferry Terminal and Loch Long. This welcoming city has something for everyone including bars as well as sights like Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park and Hill House. All are within a secluded setting.
"We had a very comfortable stay at the Malmaison. Just far enough out of the hustle and bustle of busy downtown, but close enough that you can walk to a bus stop to get anywhere you need. The rooms were clean, functional, and comfortable. I would reccommend this hotel and definitely stay again. "
Buchanan Arms Hotel & Leisure, Sure Hotel Collection
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely staff, great food and good leisure facilities.it is a bit in need of some TLC and was hotter than the centre of the sun but overall good value for money."
"The hotel is clean and comfortable and well situated. But what makes it exceptional is its staff. The front desk folk were personable and helpful. We were especially thankful for Kris and Reese's service in the restaurant. They both gave excellent service and Kris went above and beyond to ensure we made a rather too-close-for-comfort train departure. Also, the food was good and the espresso was especially notable. "
"Our stay was so lovely. The staff treated us like gold and our room was gorgeous and comfortable. The food at the Grill was delicious and the morning breakfast spread is unmatched for us. Loch Lomand is a beautiful place to visit. We highly recommend the Cameron House. "
"Booked this hotel for 2 nights based on the room pictures. Then I saw the exterior picture!
Arrived late afternoon, driving along a tatty driveway, into an almost empty carpark that looked more like waste ground with an abandoned car in the corner.
The hotel looked derelict. What I assume might have been a swimming pool building looked filthy.
Inside the foyer and reception were amazing. My room was just like in the pictures. A little bit dusty, a little bit worn.
But it felt like being in some kind of surreal experience. When I went out for the evening and came back, reception was deserted. Ditto the next day.
I don't know if this is in the middle of a refurbishment or what.
And no wifi in the rooms. I think you could "plug in" to the internet, but no wifi on the 6th floor."
"Great stay, excellent breakfast options but quite expensive (the breakfast). Very friendly and helpful staff. The iPad and TV didn't work as well as expected, but that's no biggie. Pro tip: change the bedsheets to vertical, so you don't have to step over each other when visiting the toilet at night ;)."
"Fantastic stay, best breakfast we have had anywhere and super friendly and helpful staff. This hotel was our second choice ( other one was fully booked) but we are so pleased we came here. Thanks to all the staff who made our stay so welcoming."
"Location was great, service was great, only had breakfast there but lots of options and it all looked fresh and yummy! Elevators ran slow but that's the only complaint. "
"We had a fantastic experience at the Courtyard Marriott in Glasgow. The hotel was incredibly clean, and the rooms were beautifully designed.
The reception staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.
Breakfast was also a highlight: everything was fresh, with plenty of options to suit all tastes. A perfect start to the day!
Overall, a top-quality stay. Whether you’re in Glasgow for business or a city break, I highly recommend this hotel. We’ll definitely be coming back."
" Hotel is in a good location. Our basement room was disappointing in that the bathroom door didn't close properly and the soap dispenser fell off the wall in the shower when used. I didn't like that the shower head was imbedded high on the wall and no way to manouvre it.
Our dirty coffee cups were not replaced nor the coffee / milk replenished. "
"My daughter and I had a lovely one night stay at SEC Moxy. This was booked last minute but was a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The only downside was the expensive parking in the multi-storey car park next door. Other than that, an excellent stay with a superb breakfast and very comfortable room. "
