Bout St. Maurice is a ski town in the winter and a hiking/ biking town in the summer.My wife says this is one of the best areas we have ever seen and thinks the motel is the best as well. The staff was the friendliest and most helpful staff we have ever had in Italy. We have visited Italy 13 times and stayed in dozens of hotels. "We booked a 2 bedrooms apartment for the 3 of us. The apartment was spacious and nice view on the mountain. We had 2 bathroom which was great but unfortunately 1 of the heater was not functioning for half our stay so it was really cold to take a bath and we had to complain several times before they replaced the towels heater. They obviously knew the issue as they already ordered a new one. They never offered any compensation or to move us in another apartment. The ski room was super smelly and congested especially in the morning. That it was at the point I was feeling nauseous. Another downside was the spa area, way too small for the amount of guests. Only one small Hot tub always full. The sauna was super crowded that it made it impossible to use and same with the steam room that wasn't even hot enough and the eucalyptus was so strong it would make your eyes watering. So we only went once as it was not enjoyable. At Les Arcs 1800 there is almost nothing beside the residence and the hotel. Just 1 small Spar. For shopping, bars, restaurants you have to take the Dahu Lift that connect to Les Arcs 1600. We also drove to Les Arcs 1950 (about 20 min drive but totally worth it. Les Arcs 1950 is such a nice resort. Overall experience was okay but we won’t probably go back to this place."

"Our arrival was smooth and we had a fantastic room on the 4th floor where we could lie in bed and look at the snow all the way up to Saulire. In the morning we were out onto the Jardin Alpine and can ski right back to the hotel"

"It was very comfy stay. The location of the hotel is great, the spa is nice. People at the reception were kind and helpful (Especially Cedric) The only handicap of this hotel is there is no parking area for their guests. You have to go to find the private car park which is close by but need to pay 20€ per day!"

"I found this property to be lovely spot to stay with lovely design and very convenient. The food was okay, not great for the cost with breakfast buffet being mostly cold (as in eggs, bacon, pancakes). To be honest I found most of the staff to be unfriendly bordering on almost rude, it was always as though you were an unwelcomed inconvenience."

"Perfect family hotel, half board option works easily for families. Very close to the slopes and easy to get to. Motorway comes into Bourg St Maurice and there is a funicular up to the resort if needed"

"It was such a pleasure to stay at this unique establishment. The hosts take you in welcoming the place explaining their unique way of life. The location is great, next to parking lot right in town. The sauna on a rooftop with a stargazing bubble and mountain views is spectacular. The charcuterie plate serves thick cuts of local meats and cheese, don’t miss it. The dog Neige is a great St. Bernard welcoming you along with two cats."

"The option to ski in and out of this location was perfect. The residence was quiet. Staff was frindly and helpful. The lobby could use an upgrade of its furniture. It was strange not to have a sink in the toilet area in the apartment, this seems like a strange design to me. The kitchen had all sorts of pots, plates, and everything needed for cooking. Bring soap, condiments, toilet paper, tea and coffee as these are not supplied. We had a minor issue with the fuse in our apartment but the maintence man was so helpful and responsive, he fixed the problem in under 5 minutes from the time I spoke to him. Very hard working staff."

"Cozy hotel in the small town of Landry. Close to the slopes but you'll need to take the shuttle or train to Paisey or Bourg St Maurice. Very good restaurant downstairs so you don't have to leave for dinner after a long ski day. The foie gras was fantastic. The only thing keeping it from being 5 stars is no one is there to help you with the bags if you decided to try and travel without a car. "

"Great stay. Room well equipped with everything we needed. Ski in ski out worked well. We couldn’t get the wifi code to work all week so gave up. We did ask at reception for them to look at it which they did but it still didn’t work. Pool and hot tub great feature though could have been warmer! And perhaps slightly larger as a bit crowded especially at the end of the day. Building could have done with a lick of paint in places but general standard was still very high and was very impressed. Bins, linen and towels changed on multiple occasions. On arrival, the bed and carpet could have been a bit cleaner which let it down slightly. Floors a bit thin but despite being right next to the main door it wasn’t too loud and slept well. Shop nearby good pricing given location. Underground parking very convenient though tight if you have a big car. "

"We stay here for two nights as part of our 2 week EU trip! Absolute best location for us!withe the ski lift, the rental place was right beside hotel along with a great spot to eat, made everything super easy! (make reservations) the staff was accommodating, had great recommendations, was able to get all 5 of us into the spa for massages, and we all enjoyed the pool/sauna/ relaxation areas after being on the MTN. We had two suites and absolutely can’t wait to plan a longer ski trip here! We paid the extra to park in garage, 18 euros and it was nice to have a ready to go car from the ice/snow! Thanks for making our trip great! "
