"I’m not usually compelled to leave reviews for goods and services I use but this place was so cool. It’s in the center of this amazing little midlevel town and a renovated 18th century manor but with all the comforts of a new hotel. They did a great job preserving the history while modernizing. Room and furniture was emasculate and the air conditioning was superb. The staff were very attentive, professional, and helpful. Breakfast and dining area were great! Highly recommend this place. A+"

"We enjoyed our stay here very much and would stay again. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was very comfortable. Enjoyed happy hour on the outdoor terrace - the bartender picked the strawberries off the plant growing in a pot and gave them to us - the best strawberries I've ever had! A cute little french bulldog appeared every now and then for fun and entertainment. Highly recommend. "

"Absolutely superb hotel! A real little gem close tonthe town centre. With a Michelin star restaurant in it's grounds and a lovely swimming pool overlooking the chateau. Can't recommend it enough."

"The location was wonderful, the view of Chinon castle was spectacular, central loire valley location in a medieval town with a busy Centreville and close to amenities. The pool was great, as was the balcony overlooking all. The unit was well appointed and large enough. A little tired but it was what i expected for a holiday spot geared towards families. All in all a great stay. "

"There are always a few small things (our cold tap barely worked) but overall, this hotel was brilliant. Staff were friendly, spa was really well appointed and treatments were both very good and reasonably priced. Its location right on the river and in the heart of a tiny but bustling little village is idyllic. Room was spacious, comfortable bed, all the necessary accessories. Highly recommended "

"This was truly a gem within walking distance to the town centre. We adored the gardens, lobby and resting areas, and the spacious room and the pool. The interior furnishings were luxurious. The owners have great pride in the place and attention to detail shows at every corner. The only letdown was the small number of staff, that impacts the service a bit. Still it is excellent value nd recommend to stay more than a couple days to truly enjoy the place. "

"The reception was outstanding. We arrived early and were made to feel most welcome. The room is large, modern and lovely. Everything is first class, bedding, towels , etc. Breakfast was great and plenty of options. The hotel is a pleasant short walk from the old town centre. Parking is very limited but not an issue. There always seems to be free street parking right outside the hotel. A lovely stay all round."

"Our stay at the Hotel du Parc was outstanding. Right from our easy check-in to the delicious meals, by Chef Jeremy Gilbert, we were extremely impressed and pleased with every element of our stay. The Chef even made off-menu vegetarian meals for us, to ensure we had variety. The wonderful front office, restaurant and cleaning staff took our stay to the next level. We would like to especially thank Salomee for her guidance and advice. She made our stay extra-special. Although rated as 3 star, the hotel rivals the best hotels we have stayed in for personalized service and culinary delights. "

"Small hotel that states 2 star but the room was clean and suitable for a short stay the breakfast was good. The hotel is within easy walking distance from the town shops and restaurants. There is parking in a church car park behind the hotel which is free after 1830 and all Sunday, there is some building works going on but this did not impact uas at all. "

"Superb accommodation. Beautifully considered mix of the old and the new. I have stayed her a number of times and LOVE it. The greatest pleasure was to have sole access to the whole Abbaye when the public left. MAGICAL. The erastuiarant is also very special."

"Everything was wonderful. I stayed there 5 days and tried everything, le petit déjeuner delicious, le dîner incredible ! Only thing I didn’t know is that I had to pay extra to enjoy the jacuzzi (why isn’t it included ?). I needed it to warm up bc coming from Miami, the drop in temperature was brutal :). But it’s ok I still loved it ! Thank you !"

"On the photos the hotel with its swimming pool looked good to me but the pool was half empty and closed moreover I found my room not very clean especially the bathroom."

"From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we were looked after very well by Phillipe, Natasha and the staff. Our room was very comfortable, the bathroom was a good size and the shower was very good. However, for us the highest marks should go to to the food. The breakfast had an excellent European choice. The dinners were superb. The menu was changed everyday and there was a limited but good choice of dishes. Every dish was beautifully presented and delicious. The fish and desserts were particularly good. It was a very good price for the quality. We intended to eat there just twice but only ate out at a small restaurant in the village was once. Philippe was very helpful in giving us suggestions for visits. We would definitely stay there again when we next visit France."

"Hotel Ibis is convenient for those travelling to Saumur by train-- property is literally right across street from station. Friendly service ( I can speak a bit of French; they could speak some English so all good for check-in, etc! Also.one staffer who was fully bilingual.). Good breakfast in pleasant dining area. Also a cozy bar and in nice weather a courtyard. There is a v.good Italian restaurant next door, and cafe 2 blocks away. You will want to go into Saumur Centre-- a 15 minute walk over 2 bridges. Lots to explore and many eating choices there. "

"Beaucoup de bruit de la part des voisins à deux heure du matin et impossible de rejoindre le personnel avec tous les numéros fournis. Le lendemain j'ai annuler les deux jours restant à cause du bruit et de la sécurité inexistante la nuit. On m'a indiqué qu'on allait me contacter pour discuter du remboursement mais j'attends encore après plus d'un mois!"
