Det var lidt svært at genkende knapperne på displayet, men det vi kom ind, fandt vi et rent og rummeligt værelse. Fjernsyn kunne være bedre, den var tilsluttet ti nettet men afbrydede tit. Desuden virkede den chromecast adapter ikke. Der ligger en folbold plads ved siden af og det kan være, at det larmer, hvis der sker noget. Men sådan var det ikke da vi var her. "Ok for the price, but: The neighbours upstairs woke up at 5am on a Sunday and the room 2 is just below the kitchen / living room. They had breakfast and rearranged furniture up to 8am and we could not sleep any more. Do not book the room 2!!!! "

The Hotel is an older property but is well kept and the rooms are comfortable with everything I needed for my 2 night stay. "What a wonderful and charming hotel! The staff were polite and friendly. Ate at the restaurant and enjoyed the shooting star dish. The town is almost fairytale like with cobble stone lined streets and old wattle and daub construction. Very quiet and peaceful, we hope to return someday."

The bed was terrible — hard and squeaky — and the pillow was even worse: flat, lumpy, and impossible to get comfortable with.
There was a bad smell coming from the bathroom that lingered in the entire room. Everything felt unclean, and the general level of hygiene was simply not acceptable.
The service was just as disappointing: cold, uninterested, and unwelcoming. No effort was made to make guests feel seen or cared for.

"I was trying to get a room on a short notice in Aalborg, and this hotel came out among others. I have to say, it is way better than what other ones offered. Room was sufficiently spacious, modern, quiet, comfy bed. I slept really well! Breakfast was until 11 am! I don't know if it was because of a Saturday, but I wish all hotels had breakfast till 11. It was an extra fee, but selections were superb, very tasty. It is 7 minutes walk from the railway station, and you don't hear the railway at all in the room. Service was nice. Near a big supermarket.

The only downside is the room we booked in the basement was smaller than expected and a bit stuffy since there's no ventilation. Other rooms might be a bit more spacious. Was adequate for one night. Brilliant location for walking into Aalborg. Lovely clean family room with comfy beds and so quite too. We would highly recommend and hope to visit again soon!"

The rest of this review comes from the perspective as an American traveling abroad. Europeans would probably find this to be a pretty normal hotel setup.
I guess I missed that the hotel is situated on a walking street and that there is no way to unload without parking in a nearby garage. It took me several loops around the block to find the public parking garage.
We were also surprised to be met with a flight of stairs from the street to the lobby. And another spiral staircase up to our room. It was fine for us and there did seem to be a carrier to haul luggage up the stairs. Older vacationers might want to check on this before booking their stay.
Even with surprises, the hotel was charming and quiet considering that it is conveniently located on a street full of restaurants and bars."
"To call this a hotel is a stretch, its more like a guesthouse. No reception on arrival, even though published as open to 6pm (which says it all!!). Restaurant not open on arrival Sunday evening, which I was awre of, but to be told Monday evening there is only one choice of meal......this is not a Restaurant! Like others, I think this is an over priced 'guesthouse' for what it offers, even the breakfast was very basic for the overall cost. The only positive comment I could make is that there was a fan in the room to provide some cooling."
