"I believe it was a hostel under start-up with improvement potential. The address was incorrect, half pension stated in the description (which we of course didnât believe), shared wc and shower that was not stated in the description (we were the only guests this time so no problem), towels very small. The breakfast didnât live up to even low french standard, 2 cold toasts and a black burnt croissant (not eatable, probably frozen and heated/defrosted on very high temperature)."

"I cannot say enough positive things about this stay. The house is extraordinarily comfortable, Nadia is a spectacular host and it truly feels like staying at home. "

"Perfect stay - clean, convenient hotel with a STUNNING pool, surrounded by a flower garden and with views of the Pyrenees. I loved the easy parking, the quick walk into Prades for dinners, the ease of getting to Eus and Villefranche in under 10 minutes, the coffee maker and mini fridge in the room, the AC, and the FANTASTIC breakfast spread with eggs, bacon, fruits, cakes, pain au chocolat and everything else. Also the sweet little cat roaming around was adorable! "

"Itâs in the middle of the mountains, great for if you want peace. The road to get there is challenging, donât drive at night, no street lights. Staff was nice, and suitable for overal a mature guests, no children. "

"We arrived on Ascencion day from the little yellow train to no bus or taxi from Villefranc to the hotel - locals gathered together at the station to take us to the hotel in a private car - refused to accept any payment. Next day we needed to do washing, again let down by taxi's to get to laundry (at the local supermarket and a local again gave us a lift but let down again by taxi's to return (not far enough). The dryer did not work so back to hotel with damp washing. Immediately hotel stepped...

"The property is an old renovated and comfortable house with a pleasant garden in a small villagge. The owners, Sigrid and Manuel, welcomed us like family. Sigrid is an excellent cook and prepared us, as we requested, a light dinner including home made gazpacho, tomato bread, charcuterie and other local specialties. We also sampled local wine and lemon liqueurs. The streets in the village are very narrow but Manuel arranged for us to park our car in a reserved parking spot close to his place and...

"Nice old house. However price very high for comfort, location and service. Clean nice room. However, breakfest not so fresh as you would expect for the price. They charge you for additional service (eg 3 Euro for tea bag). Wifi and tv not working"

"Great location, right in the centre of this charming old village of Ceret. Very clean and quiet.
Very warm welcome by Vanessa who gets out of her way to serve a lovely very French breakfast...."
"Good location very close to the pistes. Could do with a bit of a refresh, but for the price can't complain. Staff somewhat brusque at times, but nothing too much to put you off. Nice and quiet at night and comfy beds. Slept well. "
"Le Clos Cerdan is a great place to stay because everything is right there. The rooms are very freshly redone and spacious with artful lighting. They have a bar and restaurant so no need to drive anywhere, and the view is spectacular. We had a rainy few days so the steam room and sauna were a treat when it was too cold to walk outside. There's also plenty of parking. Next time we'll bring our tennis rackets!"
