The owner is a very friendly & nice guy, it looked to us like he is in the process of renovating the property and is doing a good job.
The thing that is letting it down is the breakfast , it was of poor quality and the breakfast room isn't very welcoming.

"This is a delightful small hotel. Our room on the top floor was very comfortable and the bathroom remodel was well-designed and executed. We were well treated by friendly staff and fed a scrumptious breakfast. We enjoyed walking the nearby boardwalk and eating in the nearby pub, entertained by live music. "The location was fantastic! The establishment has been restored amazingly. Check in was easy, once the code worked for our door. No elevators and we were on the third floor, so we brought up only what we needed for the night. It was clean, quiet and our bed was comfortable. Later James made us burgers that could stand up above anybody. Rebecca was awesome enough to give us some important info regarding the areaenities and a big smile. Thanks James and Rebecca
