"This is an old building directly fronting the lake and adjacent to the ferry terminal. A short walk to the central square and there is also a bus stop right outside the gates.
Service good from the friendly staff. Food offer quite high end. There is a lounging area they cal the beach, with a jetty to swim in the lake which was surprisingly warm in August.
The bathroom was a delightful trip back to the early 1980s but on the whole, the positioning on the lake and the views are outstanding."

Very nice and helpful staff. I realized I had booked the shuttle for the wrong time at 3 am and went down to the desk and the staff changed it for me with a smile. One minute from Malpensa airport meant we could drop a person leaving on a 5am and come back and go back to bed. Breakfast was imcluded and amazing hot and cold selections. "A newly renovated and gorgeous hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Just steps from the funicular, this hotel was perfect for our stay in Lugano and exploring the surrounding region. The included Ticino ticket is a nice bonus but the value is in the quality and cleanliness of the rooms and beds and the premier food and drinks. I slept so well, even with a bruised ribcage. The included breakfast is really delicious with everything one could need to fill up and start the day. The restaurant and bar, Flamel, is incredible. The house cocktails are a must try that will change your perception of what a cocktail should be. The dinner is first class and every dish is a work of art.
An extra special touch is the foosball table in the lobby near the bar so we could have drinks while the kids played. I can't wait to go back and stay at this hotel again!"

The shuttle was seemless in giving us a ride from the airport after returning our rental car in the evening and then the next morning to fly out. The free breakfast was excellent. Be aware there is no air conditioning, but having our window open cooled the room well. "

We stayed in a junior suite/suite with hot tub and it was a great space for two adults and a child. The food and cocktails at the restaurant are high quality. Lidl grocery store across the street. Just a great hotel overall. We visited the Alfa Romeo museum just a few minutes away which is highly recommended. You will need a car for this hotel and should not expect that it’s all that close to Milan city. We were very planful in determining location knowing this was a great option with a beautiful pool near lake Como versus staying in Como itself (which is very expensive). Do your research and you won’t be disappointed. Would happily return to this hotel any time. It is awesome"
