Non-pretentious French cuisine at its best. We had a memorable lunch at this small, rustic restaurant near Rue Cler and Invalides. Stepping inside, it reminded me of an inviting old pub, with about a dozen tables and a pair of fair, but indifferent waiters serving the lot. The five of us were able to sample a good portion of the menu, and found everything to be tasty and perfectly prepared. The foie gras starter was exceptionally generous, and I'd return for that alone! Other winners included tender pork cheeks, a whole sea bass, a cream-based vegetable soup, braised beef, and the most wonderful butter-laden mashed potatoes. To finish it off we ordered the justifiably famous rice pudding - a delightful finish to any meal. This was one of the best meals we had in Paris. I'd highly recommend making a reservation before your next visit.
