Very nice and kind gentleman with a very warm personality. He goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. THALIA makes check in a very nice and smooth experience. (No complains from any of the staff…. Martina, Jorge, Chris , etc. Everyone was very nice and helpful). The resort is amazing, super clean, safe, food was delicious. "Great spot. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, this is a great place.$60 taxi to town and $50 taxi to the airport. The spa is beautiful. Restaurants were delish! I would not upgrade to VIP, as I saw no real benefit to it, except for the adult-only pool, and the views from the ocean suites were much nicer. "

"We had an incredible stay! They staff was so incredible, kind, welcoming, and accommodating! We were able to set up transportation easily to and from the airport and taxis as needed. Each staff member made a point to get to know us, and they made sure we were comfortable. The hotel was clean and extremely well kept. The ONLY downfall was the occasional noise of construction. The restaurants in the area were delicious and there were many options within walking distance. I highly recommend a stay here!"

"The resort was beautiful & located in a great spot on the island. Villa was clean & equipped with everything we needed. *Kitchen had plates, utensils, cooking supplies & even tupperware. *Dishwasher was helpful to throw everything in at the end of the day & wake up to clean dishes. *Bedrooms are wonderfully air-conditioned and comfortable! *No issues w/ noisy neighbors & plenty of parking. *Description said '1 bathroom,' but the villa had 2 full bathrooms *Fresh towels provided daily, or you could indicate using your towels more than 1 day. *Pools were great! We spent most of our time at the beaches. Papagayo's beach was a little confusing to figure out b/c each beach section is right next to the other. Cabanas are $69/pp according to 1 person. Someone else said they paid $100 for a cabana...? The beach chairs are free and worked fine for us. *Papagayo's section is a little farther from the restaurants which was ok. It was quieter and away from the DJ and crowds by the other restaurants. *Pool towels can be exchanged at the reception or @ the towel hut at the beach. *Grocery store nearby helped with buying essentials and snacks. *We drank the water straight from the sink & had no issues. *No restaurant on the resort property but plenty w/in walking distance by the beach. *Wraparound porch was lovely to relax on each night *Warning, there are def bugs both flying & crawling around the villa. It did not bother us but just a heads up. Everyone was so friendly!! "

"The suite we stayed in was beautiful and very spacious. Everything appeared to be new and well maintained. We had a 2 bedroom suite and the beds were very comfortable. The cleaning staff would change our towels every 2 days, and a do a deep clean every 4 days, which we found was very appropriate. There was parking available for our rented car, the pool and facilities were exceptional, and the free yoga class offered once a week was fantastic. Take it if you have a chance! We appreciated the free beach chairs and access to Mambo Beach... a great plus to this hotel stay. There is also a walking trail behind the hotel that takes you to the next town Jan Thiel... we walked halfway and the views along the coast are spectacular. The front desk staff (Charlize, Leanne, Chantal) were very friendly, attentive and helpful, and made you feel very welcome. I would definitely come back to this hotel, and recommend it to anyone looking for great value at walking distance to the beach."

"We enjoyed our stay at Lagun Blou. We went for diving and the quiet cliffside location. The resort property and landscape were beautiful. The pools were perfect after diving. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the property was secure. We enjoyed both restaurants nearby and the great cliff breezes that kept us cool. We could dive and snorkel right from the dock. We would definitely stay again the next visit. "
