"Beautiful hotel with easy parking in the courtyard for our small campervan. Hotel initially a little difficult to find as it is hidden within tiny streets but we were pleased with the location once we had found it. There are fabulous gardens to walk around next door. Breakfast was delicious and the tall chap in the evening restaurant spoke fantastic English and was really helpful when making arrangements for a late key. I would be happy to stay again. 👍"

"Beautiful hotel and area . The street below was noisy due to a lot of traffic with open windows in hot summer . Maybe ac units in rooms and more fans would help with noise reduction. Restaurant was fantastic and breakfast ! "

"Fantastic experience and definitely recommend this quaint hotel. It used to be a mansion to a rich aristocratic family (von Löw), who then became a poor aristocratic family and the building fell into disrepair. Completely renovated by investors 27 years ago, but a lot of the original features remain. Property has easy parking and is located just outside of Butzbach; easily reachable via the A5. Easy access to Frankfurt. We had an amazing, friendly, and very attentive host. Restaurant and bar on the property. The restaurant had a one-page menu, but the meals on it were all excellent. I certainly would stay there again. "

"I was charged for the booking by Expedia but the hotel said the room was not paid for, so we assumed it was payment on arrival and paid the hotel. When we returned home, we found that Expedia had also charged us for the same stay. Furthermore the hotel did not provide us with an official receipt, that we can remember. As a result, we are having difficulty getting our duplicate payment refunded from Expedia. We are attempting to contact the hotel to obtain a copy of their receipt to prove to Expedia that we have paid the hotel, directly, in the hope to get our duplicate payment refunded."

"The property is conveniently located in close proximity to several bakeries, restaurants and shops. Very walkable to get anywhere in town, and public transportation is available close by. Overall, the hotel was quiet and the room was comfortable and clean. Please note that the room does not have a private bath attached. A shower and restroom is available on each floor so as long as you are comfortable with that, this is a nice place to stay. There is a community kitchen on the first floor that can be used by the guests. An elevator is not available since it is an old building, be prepared to walk up some steep stairs to your room with your luggage. Parking is not available at the property. Check in and check out is easy and convenient. Hotel staff is friendly."

"The hotel was amazing, great location, accessible to a bus line and amazing neighborhood grocery store, and local restaurants. The hotel was extremely clean, the breakfast was amazing with a variety of food options each day. I am vegetarian and the food was fresh. Most importantly all of the staff was remarkable and the cost was reasonable. I would strongly recommend this hotel if you are in the Gießen area."

"What can I say , the owners went above and beyond, as were the rest of the staff very welcoming and really made me feel as if I was home . Both dinner and breakfast were excellent . My room was superb , it was quiet and comfortable. I was worried about the proximity to the motorway , My room was on the back of the hotel, but even on the front side you could not hear the road with the windows shut, and it was just background noise with them open, and the views from the front side are amazing. But it was the atmosphere, friendliness and attention to detail that made it for me . I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and I will definitely be back "

"Everything was wonderful. The only small difficulty was check-in was a box on the wall that you input a code and your room key pops out. I didn't know to look for this and stood around in the entrance for 30 minutes like a dummy. lol"

"The hotel looks like a tiny hamlet of old farm buildings which have recently been renovated. A definite rustic feel to it. Parking is 100 m in front of the hamlet. Hotels.com failed to list this hotel as having a restaurant. As such I ate junk food on the way to the hotel, only to find the perfect restaurant for me. I made space for a delicious salmon salad and wonderful glass of Riesling! The room was good and I slept very well. The only missing utility which I always need as a business traveller, was a desk. I suspect, this would also effect females needing a dressing table. I was shown an alternative room with a tiny glass table. Anyway, it didn't spoil my stay. Wonderful staff. Not too expensive. Great hotel and I would definitely stay again."
