"Perfect stay - clean, convenient hotel with a STUNNING pool, surrounded by a flower garden and with views of the Pyrenees. I loved the easy parking, the quick walk into Prades for dinners, the ease of getting to Eus and Villefranche in under 10 minutes, the coffee maker and mini fridge in the room, the AC, and the FANTASTIC breakfast spread with eggs, bacon, fruits, cakes, pain au chocolat and everything else. Also the sweet little cat roaming around was adorable! "

"I believe it was a hostel under start-up with improvement potential. The address was incorrect, half pension stated in the description (which we of course didn’t believe), shared wc and shower that was not stated in the description (we were the only guests this time so no problem), towels very small. The breakfast didn’t live up to even low french standard, 2 cold toasts and a black burnt croissant (not eatable, probably frozen and heated/defrosted on very high temperature)."

"We arrived on Ascencion day from the little yellow train to no bus or taxi from Villefranc to the hotel - locals gathered together at the station to take us to the hotel in a private car - refused to accept any payment. Next day we needed to do washing, again let down by taxi's to get to laundry (at the local supermarket and a local again gave us a lift but let down again by taxi's to return (not far enough). "Location is key, opposite Fort Mont Louis, 15 m to ski areas. Hotel accepts dogs. The spa isn't attached, you need to have dressing gown or slippers! "Honestly, one of the worst places I have stayed in a while. Check-in was good and staff were helpful. However, from there it deteriorated quickly. The room was dated and very basic. No grill, no toaster, coffee machine was there but there was moldy coffee left in it. Walls had been repaired in a really poor way in places and the equipment was old and not clean. "Le Clos Cerdan is a great place to stay because everything is right there. The rooms are very freshly redone and spacious with artful lighting. They have a bar and restaurant so no need to drive anywhere, and the view is spectacular. We had a rainy few days so the steam room and sauna were a treat when it was too cold to walk outside. There's also plenty of parking. Next time we'll bring our tennis rackets!"
