"The stay was good. The house was really nice and clean, comfortable bed, however the communication with Armando wasn’t the best. He was really nice when we were there however a week after we left he accused us of breaking something we didn’t break without even asking us beforehand and also throwing us in the face that he had given us 2 slices of cheese and some jam and that we didn’t have the decency to tell him we had broken something when we really hadn't! I had completely intended on coming...

Breakfast was amazing and they have a highly rated restaurant attached that was truly fantastic. We had a wonderful stay and only a short drive to the most amazing scenery at Sera da Estrella park! "we stayed in one of the sculptures. we liked having 100% privacy (no shared walls/floors/ceiling), the top open to the sky, the large shower, and the firm bed. The fridge was also handy for storing drinks we had bought at the grocery store. The pool was great for dangling feet and enjoying the amazing view. Highly recommend doing the "Ruta de pontes" hike for even better views. The breakfast is great, plenty of options. The dinner not so great, but the moscow mule was great."
"Although the breakfasts were nice the meals in the restaurant in the evenings were not so good. On our second night we had braised cod. The fish was grey not filleted and hard. We left most of it as it tasted fowl. "

"Everything was wonderful ! Love the amount of pools and jacuzzi they have on first and second floor. The view from the room was amazing ! Few things need to be mentioned for all travelers : #1. They don’t have a bus or taxi service so if you need a ride need to call taxi ! #2. Mondays restaurant is closed so you only able to have sandwich ( nothing too fancy) and you can get drinks at bar ( huge plus). #3. If you reserve a room you get access to the spa , however , they charge 5 euros for hair cover to get into the water and keep an eye on your towel ; if you don’t bring the spa towel you will get charged for 30 euros at check out!! Someone stole mine so I didn’t know there’s a charge , therefore , just fyi . Finally, you can get breakfast in bed delivered ( no extra charge ) . Overall , worth money and worth time spent . 1out 5 I would give 4.5 star because few things mentioned. "

We were told breakfast was 8 AM but turns out it was 8:30 AM. Perhaps lost in translation. Breakfast was all laid out at 8 but we were not allowed to have it.

It would have been nice to have coffee in the lobby in the morning so that you can sit in the large number of comfortable places and enjoy a quiet morning. Especially with the room with the roaring fire.
We wanted to know if we could order wine and sit in one of the lovely rooms but it must have gotten lost in translation.
Not sure why many of these places don't have a FAQ in various languages explaining all this.

We opted for 1/2 board (breakfast dinner) since there were not a lot of spots nearby and the driving made me a bit nervous. The menu had good selection and I appreciated seeing wines on the menu from their Duoro vineyard location. "
