"From the moment you enter the beautiful reception area with its impressive vaulted ceilings and artisan made doors, you are met with friendly staff who will later feel like friends. Our room 426 was on the upper floor which was well worth it (even with a walking aid) for the amazing views and the complete privacy. This wasn't just a room, it was a suite, complete with a lounge, smart TV & beverage area. The bathroom was spacious with shower for 2 people , double sinks, a large "dressing table" and equipped with no less than a Dyson supersonic hairdryer ! The beautiful freestanding bath is inside the room, although the wooden stacking doors could make it part of the bathroom too. At night, after supper, you could listen to your favourite music via the Bose bluetooth speaker while you relax on either the comfortable L-shaped couch or the ultra luxurious super king bed with its crisp bedlinens. From our pool, we could take in the views of the river flowing into the sea. If this wasn't enough for anyone, then you still had the buttler team of Max & Chay ready at your beck & call via WhatsApp 24/7 , as well as the friendly pool staff & breakfast ladies like Nicky (?) seeing to all your needs. Special dietary requirements were met promptly and all service was always with a smile . We have visited Devasom Hua Hin too and the same personal touches are evident here in Khoa Lak too. A fine establishment not only for the luxury that it affords but also for the wonderful hospitali"

"The pools, beach area, gardens and lobby are beautiful. You can swim your way around the resort. We stayed in a resort suites which was new and very spacious, and great for a family. The only flaw was our suite not being read until an hour after the check-in time and the in-room dining was very slow."

"The only thing that might not have been convinient is that it is far away from any commercial area, you rely a lot on the Hotel Van that takes you there '40 minutes away,, however if you are after far away from anything and not noise, perfect place to be."

"Paradise! Let’s start with the good …. Stunning pool, spacious rooms with beautiful outlook, clean but with the usual firm beds. Gorgeous grounds and right on a beach that stretches for ever both ways- great for walking. There is a pack of dogs that roam the property. They hang around the restaurant and beg for food. They seem harmless but I wasn’t tempted to pat one. In good health though and probably owned by the resort. No cats to be seen The not so good would be the majority of the patronage were Russians. Strange vibe from them, verging on unfriendly. The sea was murky grey and not tempting to swim in at all. Maybe it was the time of year we were there? Something to note is you access the property via a long boat or ferry across a substantial river then shuttle van. The long boat cost 80 baht for the 3 of us and the shuttle appeared to be free (phone the resort on arrival at the pier) All in all a lovely place with lovely staff but it has no soul"

"This was our second visit to X10, after our first in 2019. With two young children, X10 is perfect with the pools, beach and activities on offer. The location is excellent, easily walkable to restaurants and shops on the main road. Good selection at breakfast, though the quality of evening meals at local restaurants I think is higher. Having ready access to the beach is also very handy as the walks along the coast are exceptional. We found the cleanliness of the room to be excellent and refreshed since our last visit. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful - in this regard, Thailand never fails to deliver. A fantastic trip, thank you X10 for making it so memorable !!"

"Lovely pools but the main pool totally surrounded by rooms. Bungalow rooms are tired. No coffee making goodies but they did bring me the bare minimum when I asked. Towels and sheets threadbare. Cheap plastic bottles of water supplied. Restaurant hit or miss. Good location I guess. Within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and the market The staff were very helpful when asked. Would I stay here again? Probably not. The whole area is overrun with package deal families from Europe and very very overpriced "

"We had a pleasant stay, it is walkable to a lovely beach. The bathrooms could do with a little updating but the shower was nice. Staff we're friendly. Biggest disadvantage was the fact you had to spend 300 thai bhat one way to get into khao lak its definitely not walkable. On the plus side it was lovely quiet resort with nice food."

"We loved everything about our stay and the property. We would never again book through Expedia because they are not an honest company. They say your payment will not go through until 30 days before your stay but then charge it immediately and send you a confirmation and and say any cancellations are not refundable. They also blame it on Outrigger Hotel that they do not refund for cancellations. This is not true - they just keep the extra money and do not send it to the hotel. This is bad practice and I hope karma gets them."
