"If you are not afraid of insects and animals, it is an okay hotel.
We experienced that the air was very bad and we found a gray silverfish. We did get another upgraded room where the air was much better, but we immidiately found another disgusting insect in the shower. When we caught the insect in a cup and went down to the reception with it, the person who was there was so frightened that he almost jumped, so it was not only us who thought it was disgusting!
There are also a LOT of ants...

"A wonderful hotel and place to stay since it's central on the island. The hotel is very clean and the staff are very friendly. Great place for photos and Instagram. The included morning breakfast has a great selection of fresh food. Since the hotel is in an alley, they offer complimentary shuttle rides to the main road which is only a 2 minute walk and they have bikes to use. The staff there helped us book our boat tickets and even prepared us take away breakfast in the morning since we had an early check out. Amazing service!"
"My adult daughter and I really enjoyed our 5 nights stay here. The resort was wonderful and the staff and facilities were faultless. We liked the variety and quality of the food at breakfast as well as the ambience (live piano). We also really enjoyed the two dining experiences we had at the Asian restaurant by the beach. The food was fantastic. It is a shame that the restaurant is not open on a Monday evening as we were looking forward to dining there on our last night. The gym facilities were excellent. It was clean and well maintained. Our Mountain View room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. The grounds were well maintained and very beautiful. Highly recommend."

"I stayed here before COVID. On this second stay, the hotel did show some wear and tear, but overall, the room is still quite clean. The only disturbance is the construction of something nearby - jackhammers on full blast. There is also a new public beach, with a bar that is right next to the hotel. Some of unregistered guests even venture into the hotel/pool area - very unsafe. I hate that the hotel allows people to kayak right on the beach where swimmers are - also unsafe. At breakfast, the staff use swear words and you can hear them talk in the kitchen. - not very civilized. A lifeguard also talks on the phone to invite his relatives from the public beach to come over to the hotel to use its facilities - very unprofessional. The hotel should introduce perhaps a paper wristband to distinguish hotel guests from unregistered guests. "

"It was an amazing property. The breakfast that was included was top notch and had so many different options. The staff were friendly. The pool was nice and the beach was wonderful. The sand was very soft and my kids enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking. There was really no dining options around the area except for the resort and after being in other areas in Vietnam where food was very cheap, the pricing at the hotel seemed high although it was still cheaper that what we would pay in the US. Over all, the villa was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay. "

"Rooms were big and spacious with a nice ocean view and balcony. Pool overlooking the ocean was amazing. Bathroom was decent sized. No freezer, only fridge but was ok to keep our drinks cold. A good selection for breakfast. A 2-3 minute walk uphill to get to the Main Street but then you had everything there. Very convenient, would definitely recommend. My only negative was the wind was quite strong and our balcony door kept banging which woke me up. Other than that, definitely value for money. "

What makes this resort the perfect go to is the staff, Sam is a gift and the entire team do not fail to deliver day upon day. The rooms are a little bit dated but the resort gardens, ammenities and dining options make up for the lack of modern room styling. There are plenty of dining options within walking distance but for the price point and taste factor we happily ate at the resort on multiple occasions, most certainly do the upstairs dining option of an evening, an absolute experience. If you want drinks and vibe pop next door out the back to the left for some drinks and bites and then pop back to the luxury La Veranda has to offer. Truly it’s a home away from home and the staff create this beautiful energy :)"
