"The man who checked us in was very friendly and nice.
Clearly they are in the process of remodeling and it looks a little run down.
My tv didn’t work, but the shower was nice and hot. "

"Rooms were newly remodeled so very nice and clean. If looking for a no frills (no coffee pot in room but one in the lobby, no shampoo or conditioner, no breakfast) then this motel is a great price."

"The hotel was good - it is in a convenient location, clean room, friendly staff. The only issue (and it is not the fault of the hotel) is that the town has a volunteer fire department post near the hotel that uses what sounds like a tornado siren to notify volunteers and it went off 4 times in night. My stay was amazing. To begin with, I was greeted by Karin who was a sweetheart. She was friendly and answered every question we had. She even told us a bit about her history, which was welcomed and I was able to relate. Loved her!
Once we got into our room we saw that it was nice and clean and ready for two people who had been on the road all day.
The next day we had breakfast, (free), downstairs and the variety of food was more than we could ask for.
Overall, this was a very positive and very welcomed experience. I would stay in this hotel again without a doubt. I must not forget to mention, free parking.
Thank you for making this a very nice experience.

"This hotel is clean, service is good and the free breakfast is great. However, it has a sort of dormitory feel and furniture. Not luxurious by any means. I feel for the price charged, the room should be a tad fancier. However, for a safe, clean, and pleasant stay, I highly recommend it."
The George Washington Hotel, A Wyndham Grand Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"This historic hotel has been kept in wonderfully restored condition. Rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. Bathrooms are clean, although the plumbing is a little dated. The service is flawless. The location is ideal, two blocks from the pedestrian mall and shops. "
"This hotel appears to be fairly new and as of July 2025 is sparkly in its cleanliness and appearance. The most outstanding part of this short stay, however, was the staff, which down to a member, was cheerful, professional, helpful, and accommodating. Upon our request, they even directed us to a great dive bar in the area! Management, whatever you need to do - keep these people! I would gladly stay here again"
"Ten outta ten would stay here again and again and again! Plenty of eatery options nearby, great staff and super quiet! Clean and fun! Had an awesome time!"
"Room was clean. Staff were friendly. Only complaint, you could hear the water running for adjacent units and the coffee in the breakfast area is not good. But the value is great. Hotel is close to fast food and other local establishments. Highly recommend for a basic stay. "
"The hotel and room met our expectations. We didn't eat at Denny's but Wawa across the street has great food to go. The front desk associate (Hannah maybe) was very professional, nice and helpful."
"Our family met us here and we toured Harpers Ferry together. The hotel was wonderful. Comfortable, spacious and clean room, good breakfast, great location. We highly recommend!"
"I stayed here aa a starting point for a long section hike on the AT. The room was fantastic! I would definitely stay here again. Easy access to Harpers Ferry, the AT, and very reasonable price. "
"Excellent service, very quick check in. I requested a room change when i got to the room because i wanted a bathtub. By the time i got back downstairs, they had the new keys ready. "
