"No frills hotel that’s honestly perfect for our trips as the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. We’ve stayed here probably 5 or 6 times now and you really can’t beat the price. We’ve stayed at most hotels in that same area and we’ll be back again in a few months. "

Pacific Grove is a wonderful place to stay. Fisherman's Wharf is great for tourists and the restaurants around the area are very good and most were not overpriced. Natural History Museum was very interesting and informative. 17 Mile Drive was great.

The golf course restaurant very close nearby did a lovely breakfast. The sunsets were lovely along the beach. We spent a day driving along the 17 mile road through the Pebble beach estate and visited the Monterey Aquarium & downtown seal colony.

Prime location! 5 minutes walk to the shoreline, can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the waves splash to the rocks. Can drive along the peninsula and have a great scenic drive without paying for the $12 charge to drive through 17 miles tour.

Pacific Grove is just a place to fall in love with. The beautiful monarchs fluttering everywhere, and the deer frolicking about. These things you'll see at the lighthouse, and cottages.

I love the area, the walking trails near the ocean! Very peaceful, and love watching the deer in the area!
"From the moment we arrived at The Sunset Inn, we were blown away. Rishi was a gracious, attentive, and thoughtful host who made us feel completely at home.
The little touches here make a huge difference — the continental breakfast with oatmeal, pastries, granola bars, cereal, fresh fruit, a lovely assortment of teas, and a coffee machine that even dispenses hot cocoa was such a treat. The bed was beyond comfortable, and we loved that the property is just a short drive to Cannery Row and Fisherman’s Wharf, plus only a five-minute walk to a scenic hike and the oceanfront — you could literally smell the sea from our room.
We stayed in the Otter Cove room, and it was so cozy with its own fireplace. But the shower deserves its own paragraph — honestly, the BEST hotel shower I’ve ever experienced (and I’ve traveled a lot for work!). It felt like a spa with a rain showerhead above and a handheld with multiple massage features. We didn’t want to get out!
Every room has a charming name, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and Rishi and his team are truly the hosts with the most.
We can’t wait to come back — this was an exceptional stay from start to finish!"
"We stayed at The Quail for two nights. The staff, including the manager on site were wonderful, so helpful and kind towards us and our two little boys. They gave us an upgrade for a better room, and it was generous size and comfortable.
Our boys had a lot of fun on the property playing mini golf, and completing activities for kids the card and winning a little gift. All kids were also given a free s’mores kit to roast marshmallows by their many communal fire pits.
The room was clean and we had an outdoor sheltered dining table, which was nice for meals. We also had two patio chairs by the golf course if you just want to sit, relax and people watch.
The property is located 10 minutes from Carmel’s main city Centre. Parking on site was complimentary.
The environment was calm, serene and beautiful. The pool was heated to a comfortable 86 degrees F.
We highly recommend this properly, and will definitely be back when we’re in Carmel again.

"It was a wonderful night at the hotel. The beds are very comfortable. The ocean air at night is amazing. Everyone got a good night’s sleep — both us and our kids. The room was clean, which is a very important factor for us when choosing a hotel.
One of the nicest surprises was that, although the booking said the room had only one bed and a sofa, there were actually two beds — the second one pulled out from the wall.
We can confidently recommend this hotel!

"We stayed in the Edith Head Room and had a magical time. The "partial" ocean view was more ocean than I expected, and the wood burning fireplace was very cool. The staff had the fireplace set with wood and kindling, all we had to do was light a match and enjoy. The decor of the room and common spaces was very cool, felt like we were in a nice museum. It was magical to wake up to the sound of the tidal movements and ocean birds."
"A great reasonably priced hotel. They're in the process of upgrading. There was an issue with an Expedia booking and Expedia and the hotel did everything they could to remedy it and they did. If you need lodging for a car race at WeatherTech raceway book ahead with this establishment as they book up early"
"I stayed here many years ago and it hasn't changed everything is great the staff was very friendly and helpful bed was very comfy and there a lot of close dining places "
"Great place to stay with young kids - tons of breakfast options in the morning and the setup of the suites with a pullout couch and separate bedroom let everyone sleep comfortably. We have stayed here 3 times now and love it every time."
"Clean and friendly reception. The tv channels said they wouldn’t load and we were going to bed soon so we didn’t bother asking for help. And the planes flying over head are incredibly loud. It sounds like fighter jets about to crash into the building. All day and night. I am not exaggerating. I didn’t fault the hotel for that in my review as I’m sure every hotel in the area is getting this sound too. "
"We enjoyed Aura Inn very much. The room was clean and very comfortable, with elegant décor. Great location, easy to get in and out of the city. The hotel is well-maintained and has a safe and secure environment. I highly recommend !"
"The hotel is in a great area. It is clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly, and it is affordable. It is a bit dated but that didn't matter."
