"The Burrell House was a hidden gem. Easy walk to downtown. Met our needs for graduation weekend. Quiet, spacious room with basic amenities (we very much appreciated the water provided as part of amenities)
Shower was amazing, water was hot and plenty of water pressure. Towels were exquisitely FLUFFY! "

"Birchwood Inn is great vintage inn! Perfect stay for our family visiting for a show at The Range. Hosts are gracious and food at the Inn was excellent. BlackBerry Banana bread for breakfast was a hit. Will definitely be back. "

"We were welcomed warmly by Steve and Joan, plus their pup Lucy. It’s a very old structure with all the charm and intricacies those bring, but we found it rustic, historical and full of old world charm. The breakfast was exceptional, fruit cup, mango scones, and baked egg and zucchini. A lot of thought and care went into that breakfast, it was not a quick and easy meal to check the breakfast box. We will think of Centennial House first when planning future visits to Western Massachusetts. "

"We loved staying here. It was a treat to be in such a lovingly restored 1700's home and farm. We appreciated their gardening practices - organic, room for animals to roam, etc., and the gardens were in full bloom with what looked like 1000's of daffodils. Charming accommodations, friendly inn owners, beautiful locations. "

"When we checked in the room was not whst I booked. Also the room had a dead mouse smell. We asked for a change. We were told by the staff she had no authority to make a change. We asked to have her call her manager. The manager got us into the correct room. No bad smell. Correct bed. "

"An older property that is well maintained and has been upgraded. The owner and her adult grandson were knowledgeable of the area and were helpful in what to do and where to eat. "
"Staff were friendly and efficient and went out of their way to help me in a difficult situation at a local restaurant!!
Very compassionate and supportive through my ordeal!!
I will definitely stay again when in Brattleboro!"

"We stayed in July for one night, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and was in constant contact to ensure our visit was seamless. Our bed in the blue room was very comfortable. Breakfast was very yummy: "
"From the moment we arrived at The Birchwood Inn in Temple, New Hampshire, we knew we had found a true gem. This historic inn exudes warmth, character, and an unparalleled sense of hospitality that made our stay unforgettable.
The rooms are beautifully appointed, blending classic New England charm with modern comforts. We slept soundly in the cozy bed and woke up refreshed each morning to the tranquil sounds of the countryside.
What truly set The Birchwood Inn apart, however, was the incredible attention to detail and genuine kindness from the innkeeper. Upon our arrival, we were delighted to find a thoughtful selection of snacks waiting for us, a perfect pick-me-up after our journey. But the real highlight was the homemade banana blackberry bread – it was absolutely divine, warm, moist, and bursting with flavor. It felt like a true taste of home, and we savored every bite!
The Birchwood Inn isn't just a place to stay; it's an experience. The innkeeper's personal touch and dedication to making guests feel welcome shine through in every detail. We left feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and already planning our next visit. If you're looking for a peaceful, charming, and genuinely hospitable retreat in New Hampshire, look no further than The Birchwood Inn. Highly, highly recommended!"
"Nice big sinks in the room. Expedia listed check-in time starting at 2pm so that's when we arrived. The reception desk informed us check-in is 3pm, not 2pm. They graciously checked us in anyway instead of asking us to go somewhere and wait."
"Very beautiful spot. Welcoming and friendly owners and staff. Food is absolutely amazing. Lots of fun activities on the weekends. Will definitely be returning. "
