"The resort was nice and it was clean but the whole time it smelled like sewage and it was way worse in the restrooms everywhere you went you smelled it and the A.C in are room everytime it kicked on the smell got stronger and i know complaining to the service desk wouldnt help because it smelled everywhere. I was disappointed paying $200 for one night to smell that was annoying but the beds were comfortable. "

"This Motel 6 we have stayed at before and this time was great with 1 exception. The room was clean, comfortable, and the accessible bathroom to die for! So much room and water pressure was amazing.
The only issue with the room was the curtain on the window was not quite big enough and light filtered in on all four sides of the curtain. When all other lights were off, it was still as bright as having the tv on. This can make it difficult to sleep. With that one exception, the stay was good. "

"It was a one day teip but it was good. Staff very friendly and no complaints. They helped me with the accomodations. I only needed the room for my family to sleep then continue on our trip."

"This motel is on the main road (US-60 or Ash Street) but was quiet during the holiday period. It is ideally situated near Hill Street, which goes into the historic district less than a mile away. Fast food is nearby, as is hiking at Round Mountain Park. El Rey is a self-described "vintage motor court" so looks the part outside. But the interior room was large enough, the bed mostly comfortable, the spacious shower always had hot water, and the wall heater worked well, with the usual humming. The large-screen TV operated fine, though we found that selecting channels and watching programs was overly-complicated. No critters wandering around, the room looked and smelled clean enough. The motel was communicative, messaging us any updates or questions before arriving. The young man at the front desk checked us in quickly and efficiently (note $40 refundable deposit). He had already turned on the fridge/microwave/heater for us, and provided a couple extra pillows when we asked. We appreciated all that. We've stayed in Globe before, it has enough charm and activities around that an older lodging offering good value is sufficient for budget travelers. You might get more if you pay more elsewhere but we would still stay at El Rey again."
