"Run down and doesn’t look fresh like the photos. Bathroom wasn’t really clean and shower was terrible. Bed very hard but not uncommon in Thailand. Had to ask for towels and toilet paper. States it has restaurant, bar and poolside bar. Doesn’t have any of these and doesn’t have a pool. Not even sure we got the room we paid for but communication wasn’t the best. We wouldn’t stay here again. "

"It looked like this hotel might be under a renovation program, which is a good idea. Although my room was clean it did have a musty River smell and there were some ants running around that we were able to avoid for the most part. I'm sure it's location at the side of the river and that the river was running may have been part of the issue. It looks like on the website that the pictures were taken of what looked like a newly refurbished Cabana and used as advertisement. I don't think they were...

"What a little gem this place is. Friendly helpful staff and they even run a free taxi service to the ferry port for Ko Tao island"

"We arrived in the midst of a thunderstorm and had no issues getting organized and staying in our room. The front office staff organized a taxi to the ferry for us which was a life saver. Excellent spot "

"It’s a nice hotel in a quiet area with local street food. Good for a short stay. Overall clean bedroom, just shower a bit mouldy. "

"Stay was great, check in was easy, they helped me set up a shuttle to the ferry I needed to catch. The food at the on site restaurant was delicious. And the room was clean and had strong AC."

"Property was very clean & staff are lovely. Authentic Thai breakfast available, or coffee & toast.
Good place for a night on the way to elsewhere.
Post-covid, Chumphon is not the place to be right now (Oct ‘22) but hopefully things turn around soon."

"The staff were helpful, one of us left an item behind and the staff contacted us straight away to advise. The rooms are dated, served the purpose we needed it for as we wanted to sleep before travelling further. Food for someone in England I wouldn’t be able to eat. With some improvements / renovation this resort could be improved drastically. "

"The swimming pool is unusable and dangerosus for children. Many ceramics broken/fallen, joints destroyed, many accessories broken. The level of pool water is 30cm under the normal level, means some parts of the pool are unsusable for children. Pool water look not nice: does the filtration system work ?
The pictures of this "nice swimming pool" on the booking website are fakes : the reality is this swimming pool is decayed, destroyed and unmaintained state"

"Hotel is exactly what to expect for the price, well placed for the railway station and places to eat and drink, no hot water at night but plenty in the morning, staff polite and helpful. "

"The room was spacious. The hotel is good, well priced and breakfast is also very OK.
Unfortunately my room looked out on the parking space in the front. Late at night and early morning, 7 a.m., two large buses arrived that kept their engines running. Also the pigeons on the window sill (4th floor) were annoying. Any next time I will request a room at the back."

"Clean room, comfortable bed, nice pools. Super quiet no background music. Personally would like some music in the background while having dinner or drinks. Partner ordered a pizza which was obviously a frozen one. Wouldn't recommend one. I had spring rolls and they were good. Overall a nice stay."
