"I thought everything in the room was perfect. I have been in many other "kitchenette-type" hotel rooms that were missing the kitchen items you need. Here it feels like the owner has thought through everything. My room was very clean and the bed comfortable. Having the woods nearby was great for walking the two small dogs I travelled with. A better bed, unscratched floor and smart TV would be a good start. The room looked like it hadn’t had an upgrade for about fifteen years."

Boendet var utmärkt med air condition och egen uteplats samt städningen var perfekt. Omgivningarna var natursköna och det fanns gott om promenadstråk. Både frukost och middag. Var utsökt. We use public transport and because of the remote place with limited bus connections, we were relying fully on food from Björckbackan. Be aware, that transport to Astrid Lindgrens Verden is a Challenge, unless you use taxi service. "

The locks use physical keys which can be a bit bulky. Hopefully they will be replaced by mobile keys in the future. The locks can also be heard opening and closing due to their sturdy design."

"The hotel itself only has 13 rooms, I think. The breakfast is pretty good, the staff are friendly and helpful. The front desk is only staffed a couple of hours during the day, so make sure you get the code to enter the hotel. I had just missed the summer 'peak', so there were only 2 restaurants open within easy walking distance. I only went to the Montecristo Restaurant. The food was good and the staff very friendly. My Visa card wouldn't work when I went to pay, so we worked it out in US dollars. Public transportation is limited and confusing, especially if you don't speak Swedish. But the Troll Hike was a LOT of fun. And I enjoyed the peace and quiet for a couple of days."
