"Much quieter and calmer than I expected. Unfortunately it was very difficult to cool down my room. They gave me a small fan but the cord wasn't long enough to put it in the window. Keeping the window open didn't seem safe as I was on first floor facing street. Ventilation was terrible. The swimming pool is very clean and nice but I was surprised they said there is an extra fee to use it--this was not stated on the site where I booked the hotel. Very nice that coffee/tea and some food items were available 24/7 and that a refrigerator was available to put things in. Wifi was excellent... only a few TV channels working though. The bed was comfortable and the shower was fantastic."

"The location is great, staffs are friendly, and breakfast is above expectation as well. They don't have any gym/swimming pool on site but have an agreement with a local facility so the guests can use it, which is exceptional too. "

"Easy access to the centre of Upsalla, train station within walking distance to hotel. ( 10 mins on foot) Very comfortable rooms, good breakfast, lunch and dinner available too. Bar, games and lovely outside courtyard. "

"This was our third stay at the hotel. The building is unassuming from the outside, but very nice with lots of character inside (including rooms). Great breakfast and helpful staff. The inclusion of a buffet dinner in the room price was a nice and rare bonus - certainly saved us a bunch of kroner. Everything is within walking distance, but that probably holds for other hotels in Uppsala. I would return for a fourth stay without hesitation!"

"The Scandic Uplandia is around 10 minute walk from Upplsala railway station. The rooms are reasonably large with a good bathroom and shower. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of hot and cold options. There is also a gym and sauna. The gym is quite small, but everything was in good working order. Overall, an excellent hotel, which was also very good value."

"The location was great, just down the hill from the University where I attended a conference. Spacious little apartment, including kitchenette. Check-in was easy, and I was able to arrange for breakfasts at the Central Station hotel. Would definitely stay there again."

"Overall I was happy. However, initiall check in was difficult , but luckily I had a friend who spoke Swedish, and telephoned for access. The room was nice, but needed a kettle and a cup and glass. "

"Spacious and clean rooms that are well equipped. Breakfast was tasty and plenty of cold and hot options. Very close to the university so ideal for conference stay but still close to the tasty restaurants. Did not dine in for dinner but it looked fancy and is recommended by others. "

"This facility is by no means spectacular. However it is reasonable and the location is very good. The room is somewhat small and the shower is the smallest of all the hotels I've ever stayed(not much room to move around) at. The bed was comfortable and water was hot and cold when required. The water is also drinkable, a rare treat for me. There is a Middle Eastern supermarket about 60 meters from the hotel that has many delicious items including the best Arabic (pita) bread I ever ate. And the 3 bus will take you there. Overall, was very satisfied and special thanks to the staff for being so cordial and helpful. Would definitely stay there again the next time I visit Uppsala."

"Breakfast was awesome! Supper meal average. Room good but placed on first floor. As single traveler did not feel safe to open window. Room very hot even with oscillating fan on high. Beds good. Shower terrific. Parking good. "

"I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hostel. The rooms still only have power points to charge and wooden style bunk beds, but everything was clean. The pillows were very soft and thin, but other bedding was warm and cosy. The bathroom was modern, though there is no shelving in showers. The kitchen is well equipped and has some staple items like oil, salt and herbs, but no tea towels or paper towels. Although it was extra for breakfast, there was a good variety and they catered for gluten and dairy intolerances. I would definitely stay here again."

"Very comfortable beds. No lift but there are ground floor rooms available. Good breakfast but no hot foods like bacon and eggs. There is a kitchen available to use, cook your own foodd and fridges to use. Very clean modern bathrooms. Downstairs 9 showers 7 toilets. Great location in town near train and bus terminals, restaraunts and shops. "
