"Overall a nice hotel and great location- only few mins away by bus to station that connects to different locations. Bus stop right in front of hotel. Would have been more comfortable to have standard tea station in rooms as had to always go downstairs to get a hot beverage for kids. Room was cleaned but noticed sink in bathroom was never cleaned during stay. "

"A wonderful hotel in a quiet, picturesque town. Excellently located for walks in the hills, just a couple minutes walk to the tram station and plenty of shops/cafés nearby. The room was clean and spacious with coffee machine and fridge. Staff were lovely and very helpful with organising guest pass and explaining how to access the hotel after hours. I would definitely stay here again should I return to Basel."

"Checkin was simple and fast! Lockers were enough to fit a luggage and a few small bags. Use 2euro to access key and its refunded when youre done. Rooms have no ventilation unless someone opens a window. So it can get stuffy and stale. Mattresses in dorm room on balcony level are right next to eachother so youre sleeping inches away from someone else without a divider. It wasn't at capacity when I stayed so luckily I didnt have to sleep right beside a stranger. A curtain would make stay much more private. Shower and bathroom areas accommodate both genders but have solid doors and locks so I felt super safe. Bring shower sandals. Only 1 power outlet to accommodate a dorm of up to 9 ppl. Not enough power outlets but you can access top level to charge if you stay with your items. Great value considering continental breakfast and cleanliness! Would recommend as its location is great and its a cute town. Noisy due to other guests constantly going in and out of room or talking loudly. If you stay be mindful of roommates and base yourself out of locker to get things and go through your bags in the hallway rather than in room so you are less disturbing. "

"Super friendly staff. They gave me a dry back for a river float which was marvelous. 5 minute walk to the bus & tram. Super convenient to the convention hall. Little kitchenette worked perfectly and COOP grocery store for breakfast goods 5 minutes away."

"Decent place for few days. Specious and good location. Expedia has a wrong info on their web page, claiming the place has AC. There is no AC so the place was very hot during the heatwave days. They provided second fan so it helped a bit. Overall good stay but not in the hot summer months."

"Es war ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt! Von außen sieht das Hotel unscheinbar aus, aber innen ein Traum. Top Ausstattung! Der große Kamin im Winter bestimmt herrlich, die Terrasse im Sommer ein Traum. Das Personal war von Anhieb super freundlich, professionell und sehr humorvoll. Das hatte meinen anstrengenden Tag aufgelockert. Das Hotel und das Restaurant sind exklusiv, lecker, und die Zimmer als auch die Terrasse einen Besuch wert. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen, denn es war eines der besten Hotels in der Schweiz/Region. Das Essen war so vorzüglich. Es blieben keine Wünsche offen, im Gegenteil. Es war, als ob man sich schon immer kannte in diesem Hotel, und alle Wünsche wurden einem erfüllt bzw von den Augen abgelesen. Auch wenn man hier kein Zimmer bekommen sollte, lohnt sich der Besuch im Restaurant!"

"The hotel is about an hour from Bern, a small town, but if you need a night in a comfy hotel room with AC and space, stay there. The staff was amazing!"

"The Waldhorn staff were friendly and knowledgeable, helping make the most of each day. The free coffee and apples were great. Easy (and beautiful) walking distance to swim entry points for the Aare as well as the old town. Great meals at the Lebanese restaurant up the block, and the Kornhauskellar over the bridge."
