"Stayed during the off season - Warmly welcomed by the proprietor. Adorable room in a quiet area with a wonderful view of the Firth of Thames on a very scenic property. Great sense of privacy and peace.
Highly recommend, and will definitely stay again if we get to come back!"
"Our stay was great! Lots of details were taken care of. For example, kayaks, shovels for the hot water beach were and lots of kitchen tools were provided. Super thoughtful and lovely!"
"A secluded retreat in a natural setting lovingly cared for by the super friendly owners and staff. The log fire cottage is a great choice for winter!"
"The scenic view of the costal shoreline at La Casa were absolutely stunning.Hidden away from the public eye its beauty surrounded with well manicured gardens with lush foliage.Set above sea level this tranquil serene yet peaceful private lodge is highly maintained.Partically surrounded in native bush with echoing harmonic sound of native birds as they frolic near and far.My grandson and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves wishing we had more time to stay longer. We were gracefully welcomed finding comfort with guidance in the hospitality sector and would recommend La Casa Te Puru be your next accommodation adventure."
"Fantastic place, charming, quiet, Terry a great host/owner; beautiful location 2.5 km walk to downtown Tairua but pitch dark at night, glad I had a reflector vest Basics in place for cooking, TV has Netflix, prime and good channels. Water across the street, complimentary kayaks and shovels for hot beach ( but I was late getting there) Great base to take off in day trips Definitely my go to should I ever return."
"was a great place to stay for our weekend away,So quite and relaxing, Great walking distances to the great food ,and shops,,definitely be back AAA+++"
"It was a wonderful place to take a break during our trip.
Being an apartment meant we could relax without being on our bed.
Our planned rest and laundry days were wonderful.
The apartment had everything we needed."
"The place was very roomy. It had large living area with clean well apointed kitchen. It was across the street from the ocean. We could park at our door. There was a nice pool. The reception was very helpful and offered us choices of things to to and resturants to visit. We are glad we stayed there. I personally liked the harder beds as too many places have sagging matresses. "
"Great apartment with full kitchen. Very nicely decorated and across from the beach. Highly recommend! And restaurants nearby were outstanding (Cabana and The Lical)."
"Very friendly, informative and helpful host.
We stayed at 4 Buffalo Beach road (there is a sister property at 13, a short walk away).
Right on the beach road (you only have to walk up the driveway to see the beach).
We stayed in Unit 11: a lovely ground floor studio with combined lounge area and kitchenette (sofa and TV, coffee table, dining table and two chairs).
Fridge, microwave, 2 ring hob, electric frying pan, toaster, kettle, crockery, cutlery, utensils, etc
Separate bedroom with good sized comfortable bed, with TV. Separate shower room with toilet.
Everything very clean, in very good condition.
We used the laundry at No. 13, hanging the washing out to dry on the line at No. 4.
We were offered beach towels and a mini shovel - which we used at Hot Water Beach.
Plenty of choice of TV channels.
Parking right outside our unit.
Within easy walking distance of the town centre and the passenger ferry/wharf - from where a number of boat tours depart.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Blue Marlin "
"The ladies at this motel went beyond in order that I had accommodation in my next saga
I was travelling alone with not very much knowledge of this area of New Zealand
Room was extremely clean and well appointed.
Thank you from Cheryl from Canada "
