"Amazing! If you are looking for a unique place to stay in Nairobi, this is it! Hilary, the staff at African Heritage House was kind enough to give us a tour of the whole house..and since we came with our 5 year old, we were given the family room, and Hilary helped us to clear out any fragile pieces from the room. We were served with tea in the evening, and even in the morning before we checked out. We decided to eat dinner there, and were served an excellent 4 course meal."

Upon arrival, I discovered a pool of water on the floor in one bathroom, while the ceiling in the second bathroom had peeling paint. There was no running water in the faucets or the kitchen, and the Wi-Fi only worked in the living room, not in the bedrooms. Additionally, one of the fans was not functional. I reported these issues to the reception desk, but no solutions were provided. Overall, the experience was not worth the price; you'd be better off staying in a hostel."
