The people have become much less friendly, and are actually rude; and the place is getting run down - you can see it in the paint on the walls, stains on the carpet, etc. Breakfast is nothing special at all. "We stayed at Hotel Deutsches Haus for 2 nights and loved every minute. Our room was in the old building, which had so much character and history. You could tell the building was very old, yet our room had many modern touches. The breakfast served each morning in the other building was fantastic, with so many options. The location was perfect and even though we explored the whole town, we were never far from our room if we wanted to come back for a rest. "

"This a super clean in the walking only district of Göppingen. 5 minute walk to the train station. Shopping and dining is all around the Hotel, including a full grocery store. Breakfast is included and is outstanding! Only a couple minor complaints - Parking, there is a garage NOT owned by the hotel right next door, but it is pricey. We used one like 3 blocks away for much cheaper. There is no minifridge or microwave in the rooms. There are also no ice buckets or ice machines. Very little storage in the rooms, no drawers at all."
