"Had a bit of an issue at check-in but was sorted quickly.
A lovely B&B. Lovely room with tea and coffee making facilities.

"We have stayed at Het Wethuys several times and will definitely continue to do so. Breakfast and dinner is good, the rooms are comfortable, the family and people that is "operating" the place are fabulous. Combined with a spacious parking place (old market place) right outside the hotel ... it couldn't be better."

"If you are coming to this part of Belgium, it is well located. The condition of the hotel is pretty good - seems recently renovated - it is more of a 'guest house or B&B.' The management / receptionist that I met was very friendly and helpful - the place has some color, which I liked. However, some issues: no hot water in the shower - it was maybe a little warm, mostly cold... not nice. And, I was left with only the end of the toilet roll and I didnt find spare rolls. This is kind of outrageous....

"It was what it was, a very economic hotel, with basic room. The breakfast was good as was the service from the friendly staff. As a one night stay on a touring holiday it was OK. Our room needed a refit."

"My wife and I have been visiting Hotel St. Louis over a number of years and have never been dis-appointed. It is convenient to Channel Ferries and has safe parking. The staff are very helpful and dinner presentation and food excellent. Breakfast was also good value. Main wing of Hotel also has a lift to all floors. "

"Having visited here twenty years ago we were delighted to find the hotel was equally as good. The reception was welcoming and the food is so good - it was not a surprise to find the restaurant absolutely full. Would recommend "

"Had a very lovely stay, the hotel was clean and quiet and very pleasant overall
We didn’t sample the restaurant next door but it appeared to be of a high standard, the nearby campsite bar was most acceptable though, decent drink selection for very reasonable prices. Would happily visit again."

"Nice location in the heart of the beautiful town. During weekend free parking at the town square opposite of the hotel. Friendly service at the reception even my French skills was pretty much zero."

"This hotel was booked owing to its convenient location for our plans, including Cassel. It is close to the railway lines from Calais and Dunkerque and freight trains may disturb sleep if the window is open."

"Hotel is lovely, we were kindly given a compl upgrade as the room we had booked was so hot and this was very much appreciated.
We went for a swim in the pool which was very nice although pool area could've provided towels but didn't. The room was nice but the decor in the other build g was a bit rundown. Overall though it's a wonderful place for a stopover either going into France or back to le shuttle. Would definitely stay again next time. "

"This was our second visit, the first was in November 23 when it was cold and grey but we enjoyed it so much we came back to enjoy it in the summer. The gastronomic restaurant is as good as you would expect with prices to match but the brasserie is also outstanding with a far lower price tag. The hotel staff are exceptional, nothing is too much trouble (in the November my wife left her glasses in the room which were promptly dispatched to our home in the UK without issue). The rooms are well equipped, clean and tastefully furnished - we have had rooms overlooking the lawn and ponds both times - and the beds are comfortable. In short, a very relaxing place to stay and/or enjoy superb meals cooked by a renowned chef. "
"Great view from our room. Staff accommodating, including putting baby milk in fridge and ice blocks in the freezer. Spacious room with separate toilet, shower and bath. Sofa bed for our 3 year old was very comfy and cot provided on request. Decent breakfast choices.
Only minor limitations was the blanket provided for our baby (thick) but we bought a cellular blanket anyway."
"Reviewing a hotel that is only £28 a night for 2 people is not easy. Overall value for money wise it is exactly as I expected. Basic, but functional. No frills, barely something that could have a frill. Bring earplugs. Bring a towel. Bring a realistic level of expectation. "
"Very nice, the beds were comfortable and the staff have been extremely helpful and accommodating with one celiac and one vegetarian! Lovely area to explore."
"Gorgeous property in the very quiet town of St Omer. We only stayed one night but the room and en suite was lovely and the breakfast with homemade yoghurt a true bonus. Would definitely come again."
"This property is a wonderful place to stay. The hosts Dominique and Genevieve cannot do enough for you. On the day we arrived they had family visiting who were so lovely.
The village and setting is tranquil and pretty. From the moment we arrived, to be greeted with drinks, we felt welcomed and at home.
The room is lovely, very spacious and immaculate. The fridge is fully stocked with water and soft drinks and the coffee machine has an enormous choice.
Dominique helped us to book dinner at a really lovely restaurant 15 minutes drive from the house and served us with the most fabulous breakfast on the terrace.
We cannot rate this accommodation and family highly enough. Given the opportunity we would not hesitate to return."

"Ignore the surrounding area, when you step in side the whole place becomes an experience.
The quality of the decor, the furniture, the layout is just amazing.
The family staff make you really welcome, everywhere is spotless and clean."
"We stayed here for the first night of a motorbike trip. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great too! Our bike was locked in a very secure garage overnight which gave us peace of mind. Would recommend this hotel to anyone especially bikers!"
"Excellent communication, easy access. Large room with comfortable bed. Relatively quiet, given property near centre of town. Parking may be an issue as spaces are a premium- easier with motorbike. Kitchen facilities are communal. Overall, very enjoyable stay. Merci beaucoup "

This is kind of outrageous. The manager/receptionist did apologize (and seemed sincere) but, apologies only get you so far for lacking hot water and having no toilet roll.
With some small improvements / attention to details - this could be a pretty nice, cozy, local place to stay.
The restaurant was OK - portion size was good, price was OK, quality was OK - not amazing, but not bad. The terrace is nice for sitting in the sun.
I would go back if the issues I raised were sure not to happen again."
"Well equipped apartment with all our needs (parking, kitchen, living room with separate bedroom).
Well located and easy to get to.
Apartment was clean."
"We were delighted witht the whole experience. The hotel has been beautifully referbished (some rooms still being worked on. Our reception was friendly and professional, our room lovely, the evening meal, a mixture of classic cooking with a modern twist, delicious. Breakfast was great too. A young family have recently taken over the hotel, and we could see they are going to make a great success of it. Every one was friendly and helpful, making the whole stay so enjoyable. We will certainly go again."
