"This hotel offers a comfortable bed, clean rooms, and easy (free) parking. The building from the 1920’s and offers that type of accommodation with modern amenities. My room was made up daily which doesn’t seem to be so common nowadays. The only drawback for me was that the elevator was broken. That’s a bummer when dealing with luggage but for the price, perfectly fine."

"I thought the beds were comfortable and the morning breakfast was quite good and had a number of options. Now about the cleanliness. By all appearances it was clean, however upon getting ready to get into bed on the first night we discovered a pair of dirty socks between the bed and the end table. The desk clerk came and removed them, but you just don't forget something like that so it did tamper the rest of our stay. And this compounded to a previous visit several years back where a used band aid was found under a foot stool. Therefore, this is the reason for my rating of poor for cleanliness. "

"The only thing that would could’ve been better is our check in time for an early check-in, but I guess people called in sick or quit their job so we had to wait and check in after our plans later in the evening otherwise everything was great!"

"Upon check in, everything seemed fine; however upon entry of our room; we had a huge hiccup. Booking through the Expedia site gave us the incorrect room compared to the hotels listings. We had 5 guests and only 2 beds, no sofa sleeper as indicated through Expedia site. The General Manager was apologetic and indicated this continues to be an error in Expedia’s site; however immediately began to search for options for us despite being very busy. With 3 adults and 2 children the GM gave us several options to choose from including booking us a second room for a severely discounted rate. In the end, I am very pleased with our stay and the service provided by their staff. My only issue was the pool size. It is very small and has a maximum capacity listed of 17 people. Other than that, great stay!!!!"

"Friendly staff, comfortable stay, right on the trail. it was a treat to meet a member of the Munger family. Willard Munger did great things for conservation and the environment!. He helped lay the groundwork for modern Minnesota environmental policy, emphasizing sustainability and stewardship. "

"On the water, marina was right behind the hotel, picturesque. They really do put a effort forward to keep up with modern day asthetics and efforts to merge nature and functionality. From the water drainage to the wetland catch basins, nature walking paths, beaches, etc. fun and adventurous place to stay. "

"Great location! Easy to walk to the local breweries and restaurants. Check-in was easy and our room was clean and spacious! We brought a box fan with to help with noise cancelling and we slept like babies. We’ll be back! "

"Rating: 3/5 (6/10) Fitger’s has a classic, historic vibe and the beds were comfortable. The coffee was good too. But for the price, I expected more. Breakfast was only granola bars, which felt disappointing, and the place feels dated in ways that aren’t entirely charming. It’s fine if you want the landmark experience, but I’m not sure what justifies the cost."

"I thought the renovation was amazing. It is quick and easy access to everything downtown and Canal Point. The neighborhood is also being renovated. We were on the first floor in front of the street window so there was some noise later in the evening. Overall, will absolutely come back. The room itself was lovely!!!"
