"It is well situated and only a short walk from a free car park. How one young man is expected to work 18hrs a day on his own doing everything is beyond me - but he is charming and helpful. The rooms are not overly generous and even a small person cannot sit on the toilet and close the door. Seemingly no sound insulation but at least there was some air conditioning."

I left voice mails. No reaction. Neighbours tried to contact them. No reaction. At the end we had to stay in another hotel twice the price. We involved the helpdesk of hotels.com also with no success. We demand a refund plus a credit for the extra hotel costs. "

We had our dog with us which was welcome for a small fee - the hotel is surrounded by fields offering fantastic exercise opportunity after a day in the car. Pool looked very nice but we didn’t have chance to use it - opened at midday and we needed to leave before then. We had pizzas which were good. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Would stop by again. "

Our room was spacious, clean and the bed was huge and comfortable. In addition, we had a kettle, microwave, hub and sink. We were pleased to be able to park our car securely at the back of the house. Breakfast was lovely shared with our hosts. We would definitely return! "

"This hotel is the perfect spot to stay if you are in Chalon. The front desk is very helpful. It is a quick walk to parks and other tourist areas. Walking through town is a delight. Breakfasts and dinner at the hotel restaurant were wonderful. One of our best memories will be the breakfasts both because of the view of the plaza but especially the food. We had four rooms, all arriving at different times and they placed us together without having to be asked. The staff do everything they can to make you feel special. My husband also states that they have the best croissants in all of France! "

We broke down in Tournus due to a puncture, had to wait two days for new tyres, but managed to find this hidden gem, everything about it was amazing and could not fault it, pool, food and especially Catharine who helped us with taxis and speaking to the garage on our behalf, it certainly took away the pain of missing two days of our holiday, would and have recommended to all friends. Well done Catharine and team, you have an amaing hotel."
