"Great hotel to stay at in Toba. Location is close to the train station as well as other activities including the Mikimoto Pearl Island and the Toba Aquarium. Staff was very helpful, friendly and professional. There was a variety of food at the buffets and delicious. I would recommend this hotel to others. "

"Beautiful ryokan within walking distance to Ise Grand Shrine. Exceptionally clean and quiet room with tatami and private outdoor bath. We utilized the amazing interior private onsens for a relaxing soak. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and served by a very polite, gentle spoken and attentive young gentleman. There is no better customer care than in Japan."

"The area is famouse for the best Matsusaka Beef. Great restaurant is within a walking distance. Convenience store is behind this hotel for any quick bite. Hotel staff is super helpful and friendly. Free breakfast included the local dish, which is a nice touch. Truly enjoyed the stay! "

"Hot spring type bathroom on the 5th floor is good. Ocean view from room is great. We enjoyed dinner at a Izakara style restaurant which is 10 minites walki distance from the facility."

"Very nice staff and nice spacious rooms. Only down side is it's not very close to any transit so it's a bit of a pain to get around. But there is a 24/7 grocery store right behind the hotel which I found to be wonderful."

"Our stay was very special. The owner and manager were welcoming and helpful for every need and question we had. The hotel is spacious and stylish. The grounds are beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery and quiet, with birdsong out our window in the morning. "

"I thought I had arrived at a resort with its palms, high rise apartments and manicured gardens. Definitely a holiday destination for the Japanese people. Spacious and comfortable with a microwave. As it was not close to Toba, having a car and the microwave allowed us to be more independent, not relying on eating out. The supermarket had plenty of takeout options. "

"Did not have a great time at this place. It is more suited to retired old Japanese people who want to go to the onsen. Felt a bit uncomfortable as we were the only westerners there but people were friendly. While the view was good from our room, the beach was dirty and not maintained. If the hotel would have paid someone to clean the beach up every morning it would’ve been a better experience."

"Upon our arrival, an employee greeted us and helped with luggage. The public area was elegant and displayed so many beautiful artwork and antiques. Being at the top of a hill and by the ocean/bay, the view was gorgeous especially during cherry blossom season. The breakfast buffet offered a good selection mainly Japanese food including pacific lobster miso soup. There was a spacious coffee/tea ( snacks) area with the same beautiful view. Our room was a tatami, sofa set, and bed combo and was very spacious. It offered coffee beans with a mill and various tea bags. We didn't use our room bath as we bathed in the onsen which providedmany amenities.The room also provided a bag of amenities as well. Overall, we had a lovely 2-night stay and would like to have stayed a bit longer just to relax in the room."

"Nice property and its surroundings. It’s great place to get away from the big city life. Quite Zen like. The location is far from Nagoya station I might add. Nevertheless it’s a nice place."

"Of the many places I stayed in Japan, Dormy provided a "homey" experience. It is not new but it is clean and well appointed. Perfect location."

"While the staff were friendly and the entrance to the hotel seemed nice, the room wasn’t cleaned properly. There were hairs all over the bathroom. The walls were faded and stained in spots. The walls were thin. I could hear children playing across the hall and a group having a drinking party in their room at the other end of the building. In short, it was an old business hotel badly in need of renovation. "

"This hotel gave us a surprise if its room size which is bigger than expected. There are also chairs with coffee table in the room which is rare in most of the hotel rooms in Japan. Hotel’s breakfast is fantastic and hotel owner is really putting lots of efforts and heart in its hospitality to all guests."

"Lovely hotel with friendly staff. The onsens are an additional nice touch. The downside is how far it is from the downtown area, but the shuttle makes that a non issue, also the bus drops you off right at the door. A convenience store nearby is also good if you need late night food."
